The revamped observation deck at Reunion Tower offers guests a 360-degree view of the city from its top floor. The stylish space also includes interactive activities to acquaint visitors with Dallas, as well as cameras that let you zoom in on downtown streets.

Visiting Reunion Tower in Dallas was an incredible adventure, and I’m still buzzing from the experience! As someone who loves exploring cityscapes, the 360-degree view from the GeO-Deck was simply breathtaking. The way the city unfolds beneath you is mesmerizing, especially during sunset when the lights start to flicker on. The interactive touch screens on the deck were a neat feature, providing engaging facts about the sights I was taking in.Did you know that Reunion Tower is one of the most recognizable landmarks in Dallas, featuring a stunning LED light show with 259 fixtures? This light show is a nightly spectacle that brightens up the Dallas skyline and often commemorates special events and holidays, making it a true icon of the city. There were a couple of downsides, though. The ticket prices seemed a bit high, which might be a consideration for families or larger groups. Plus, it was quite busy when I visited, making it a bit tough to get the perfect viewing spot. Despite these minor issues, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the overall experience was worth it. The revolving restaurant at the top also added a special touch, offering a unique dining experience with fantastic views.

We enjoyed every minute! Our children were afraid to go up at first, but once we got to the top, they were out walking around the deck and enjoying the view. Special thanks to Shavon! She was amazing! She helped to ease our children’s minds about go up to the tower. And she was also an amazing hostess! Would recommend to anyone! Next time we will go at night so we can see all the buildings lit up.

Jamacia R — Google review

Parking is a little crazy but seeing Dallas from the top was cool. I wish we would have been able to see it at night as well, but we ran out of time! I recommend getting the pass where you can go during the day and then Cole back at night. On their website I also saw bundle deals with the zoo which I think is a good idea!

Kara R — Google review

Reunion Tower is a must-visit in Dallas. The view from the top is incredible, giving you a great perspective of the city. The rotating restaurant is a fun way to enjoy the scenery while dining. It’s a standout feature of Dallas, especially when it’s lit up at night.I am so into enjoying the moment than capturing it.

Nikitha T — Google review

I enjoy towers. Been to the Space needle in Seattle, the CN tower in Canada and the church tower in Amsterdam. What a breathtaking view of the city. From the many buildings to the roads to historical sites that you can see from the top.It started with a fun ride in the elevator which allows you to see how high it goes. Then walking out, it’s breezy and exciting to walk and see the city.Definitely a must see if you live in Texas or are visiting!!

Jennifer J — Google review

Loved it.. you get assigned a tour guide and they tell you about surrounding buildings. The view was amazing.. see videos and photos attached. The only down side was using the digital screens to zoom in and see around. They were blurry but that was not much of an issue for me.

Asha-kay B — Google review

The wait in line to get to the top was excruciating. Despite you waiting inside, with there being so many people in line so close together, it got very hot very quickly. Once we made it to the top it was worth it because the breeze outside instantly cooled me down. It was beautiful and although we were in line so long that the sun had pretty much set, it was actually more beautiful than I feel it would be during the day.

Olivia T — Google review

I cannot believe I've lived here all my life and never been up the tower. So glad we finally went. Parking across the street is $10 which is fair in downtown then you go up to see such again views of Dallas. After seeing these building for many years it's fun to see then from a different perspective.

Mark H — Google review

Absolutely worth visiting this place. The views are fantastic, the panaromic views of Dallas downtown is breathtaking taking. The roads are almost feels like Dubai downtown. I didn’t had any expectations about this place but it is worth.A soft copy of picture is available for free can send it to your personal email from the kiosk.Paid Parking is available opposite to the building.

Vijay D — Google review

….wow! You get a 360 degree view of Dallas! The elevator ride up was great and once at the top you can walk around both inside and outside There are numerous viewing stations. You get free photos emailed to you.

I took my son here for his 18th birthday. It was a very cool experience. Jayme the tour guide showed us everything we wanted to know. My favorite part was the 4 pictures they include! I would definitely recommend.

Marlana S — Google review

Getting here was quite an adventure but definitely worth it. We found parking and made our way over to the tower entrance using our Google maps because there were no signs to adequately show us where to go. We thought we were going into a parking garage and it looked really shady but some other confused people were walking with us and once we went in we started seeing murals and signs pointing us the right way.The gift shop was very cute but expensive as they tend to be and of course we expected. Line was long first thing in the morning and it took us longer because we had to buy tickets too. I would recommend buying tickets in advance if possible. Also plan on paying for parking. We parked in the lots south of the tower and walked to it. The walk wasn’t bad at all.Once we got through the line and had our photos taken we got in another line for the elevator. We were lucky to get to be first on the elevator and get a nice spot in front so we could see the view on the way up. The guide inside told us lots of facts and answered questions.Once we got to the top it was very cool! The viewfinders are free to use and there’s lots of information posted about the history of the area and the places you are looking at. We stayed for about 45 minutes looking at the city then headed back down.We didn’t go to the restaurant because it was early morning and they weren’t open. The restrooms were large open and clean. It felt like a very safe area. There were some little coffee and sandwich shops in the hotel area to eat at as well.Lots of photo opportunities and murals on walls to get pictures of if you walk around and look. All in all it was a great experience and we will definitely go again!

I recently visited Reunion Tower and had an incredible experience. My advice to anyone planning a visit is to purchase tickets and make reservations in advance to avoid any hassle. Finding parking was easy, and once inside the lobby, simply take a right to head downstairs where you’ll check in.On busy days, there might be a wait, but it’s worth it. The photo session with the Reunion Tower background wallpaper is a nice touch and it’s complimentary. Plus, if you want to take home some professional photos, they offer packages ranging from $8 to $60.The elevator ride to the top is thrilling, and the views from the observation deck are absolutely breathtaking. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Dallas. And if you’re planning a special moment like a proposal, they have setups available for reservation.Overall, Reunion Tower provides an unforgettable experience with stunning views and excellent service.

IDreamer — Google review

I had such a great experience here! I 100% plan to return as the service was great and the food was as well. The views were perfect for seeing the West Dallas bridge. The table we were at we had the chance to see the sunset as well! The pictures do not do this place justice.***It shows I visited the geo deck (which I have), but the review is for Crown Block located in the reunion tower as well.

Ravyn W — Google review

The crowd was managed well. Views were awesome! Inside displays were interesting. There was space and time to enjoy views on the outer deck.

Lauren M — Google review

My visit to Reunion Tower was a cool experience from start to finish. The highlight was definitely the swift elevator ride to the top, which lasted just over a minute but offered stunning views of Dallas and its surroundings. As the elevator ascended, I couldn't help but marvel at the beautiful cityscape unfolding before me.Upon reaching the top, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that visitors receive complimentary pictures taken at the bottom of the tower. By scanning a kiosk at the observation deck, these photos were promptly sent to my email free of charge, capturing the excitement of the moment. The 360-degree viewing area at the top allowed me to walk around and fully appreciate the panoramic views of Dallas. It was incredible to see the city from such a height, taking in landmarks like the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge and the sprawling Texan landscape stretching into the distance.Inside the tower, interactive informational videos provided additional insights into the history and culture of Dallas. These engaging displays enhanced my visit, offering context and enriching my understanding of the city below. What made my experience even better was the value offered by the GetOutPass for the Dallas Fort Worth area, which includes admission to Reunion Tower and a host of other attractions. This pass not only made planning easier but also allowed me to explore more of what Dallas has to offer. In conclusion, Reunion Tower is more than just an observation deck; it's a gateway to experiencing Dallas from a new perspective. Whether you're a local or a visitor, the tower's combination of breathtaking views, interactive experiences, and added value through passes like GetOutPass makes it a must-visit destination in Dallas.

Yohi S — Google review

Longtime residents of Dallas, but we only just now made it to the GeoDeck of Reunion Tower. Highly recommend going near sunset and enjoying the golden hour views of Dallas. Several landmarks are singled out around the deck. Facts of Dallas and Reunion Tower are listed on screens inside. Snacks are available as well as restrooms at the top. Staff was friendly and helpful.

**Review for Reunion Tower**We visited Reunion Tower to celebrate our 10-year anniversary, and overall, it was a beautiful experience. The place itself is stunning, with breathtaking views of the city. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent, making our special day even more memorable. However, we were quite disappointed to learn that the tower hasn't spun for the last few years and that there are no plans to fix it due to a past incident. Honestly, we chose this venue specifically for its rotating feature, so it was a letdown. On a positive note, our 5-year-old daughter was very happy with the cotton candy and donuts dessert, which added a sweet touch to our evening. Despite the disappointment with the spinning feature, we still enjoyed our time there.

Natalia M — Google review

We visited the observation deck after eating at Crown Block so that we could walk around and get full views of the city and not be rushed. Years ago you could visit the observation deck for free and simply take the elevator up to the observation deck but now it’s two separate long elevator rides lol. We spent about $40 for two to go up. We were trying to go up quickly as we heard them discussing a party of 82 coming behind us! However, we had to stand in line for the obligatory souvenir photo, that we politely declined but the people in front of us did not, before we were allowed to go up. The observation deck is open and was very windy the evening we were. There’s an inside viewing area with limited seating and a gift shop. We enjoyed the views of the city even with limited visibility from the weather. It was crowded and we had a wait to go back down with an overcrowded elevator. However the crowds were. it that surprising. Overall, we had a good time.

The Dealey Plaza Museum is located in the former Texas School Book Depository, where President John F. Kennedy was assassinated on November 22, 1963. The museum contains exhibits about Kennedy's life and legacy, as well as depictions of the assassination and the surrounding events. The Sixth Floor Museum is located in the building where Oswald fired shots that killed JFK.

A nicely organized story of the events leading up to the assassination as well as the time frame of and shortly after the event. There was a lot of reading for our 11 year old, but enough artifacts and artifacts to keep everyone interested. I do wish they'd have a quick 5 minute video about JFK prior to starting the museum tour to help set the stage for younger visitors who may know the name and event, but are unaware of the true significance of the event and family. We visited midweek before noon and it was very busy. I'd recommend spending a bit extra and parking in the covered ramp across from the Holocaust and Human Rights Museum as it jeeps your car out of the hot Dallas sun. It is a very quick and easy walk. Visit the gift shop!

From a South Carolina citizen, thank you, Dallas, Tx, for a great experience. I always wanted to visit, and now I have the chance.. problem is I only had a few days to be here. I enjoyed it all the food, the laid-back vibes, really good people, the cowboy culture, and history. The people here have a city to be very proud of. Like the terminator said, " I'll be back!"

Kevin T — Google review

It was great to see such a historical spot. Though extremely disappointed in the fact that the "tour guides" were vultures trying to sell you a souvenir paper. They take away from the solemnity of the plaza. I think they should be run off from this area.

Kevin D — Google review

A unique historical place that in my opinion, should be taken better care of than what I witnessed. One of our highly steem and loved president lost his life there, what higher sacrifice can any American ask for? In total contrast to that the disastrous and shameful pair we have vying for the same office that the earlier mentioned one sacrifice his life for.

Jose B — Google review

Very interesting place, lots to see and a lot of details around the entire event if you're not very familiar. The place does sell out so you need to book online in advance, the price was very reasonable in late 2023. There is also an extra exhibit about the days before the event throughout Texas open till next year.

Jessie C — Google review

Very sobering to be in the place where such a terrible thing happened that changed our country and the world. It felt surreal. It's much smaller than one would think.Every American should visit! We need to stop them from tearing it all down!

Toni S — Google review

So interesting to visit in person! The museum has done a wonderful job capturing all the fine details surrounding JFK and his life.

Chelsea T — Google review

It has not changed much since the assassination. It is an amazing feeling visit a site that I have seen in documentaries since I was a child. The city of Dallas has kept the grounds in good shape and you are free to roam the area. Be careful when crossing Elm Street, that is a major thoroughfare that people take to I-35.

Jenny Y — Google review

The City of Dallas pays homage to its rich and storied history. From the citys founding fathers and fallen heroes to the assasination of JFK. One of the most infamous landmarks in North America, Dealey Plaza is a must-see for all who travel through the Big D.

Jay P — Google review

There’s not much there but a memorial. It’s still a moving and reflective space. The Sixth floor museum was closed when I was there, but I’m glad I stopped by while in Dallas.

Darren R — Google review

It's been 60 years since John Kennedy was assassinated at Dealy Plaza in Dallas,Texas. That place, to this day, is still a crime scene. I have long been a student of that day and the events and circumstances that led up to that horrific murder, as well as the cover up that continues and has been perpetuated by every administration since November 22, 1963. I was fortunate to take a trip to Dallas to visit that historic plaza where a cabal of cold blooded, murderous, war mongering conspirators followed through on a plot that changed the course of history. During my Sophomore year at Cumberland University I had to write a research paper on the assassination. Many of my citations and references were from a man named Robert Groden. The Case for Conspiracy and High Treason were the two books that really got me hooked. Anyway, while standing on the "grassy knoll" I saw several people standing around a folding table and an old man sitting with his books. It was Bob Groden. I had no idea he would be there. I can't tell you how honored I was to meet this man. If you don't know who he is, look him up. He's the guy that broke the Zapruder film to the world in 1975 and testified on the Rockefeller Commission. I bought his latest book which he graciously signed for me. Then he gave me a gift. It is a movie ticket from the Texas Theater 1963 where Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested.

We really enjoyed the museum walk-through. There's a ton of info and you can see right where the shooting happened. We were hoping it would be a good stop and it was. Also you can go at your own pace so if you're really into it, you can stay a long time. If you're not, just see a couple of things and go. Well ran.

Brad C — Google review

Very exciting to be exactly where such a historic event took place. Really adds such a memorable experience to see this location in person. The location also provides for a great view and photo backdrop of the Reunion Tower.A definite place to visit if traveling and visiting Dallas.

An amazing piece of history. There's lots of people here learning in a discovering about the assassination and there are plenty of plaques so you can read and learn.

Akuu O — Google review

Each time I visit Dealey plaza I feel something different, an eerie, heavy feeling this time: the Xs on the street marking where the 1st & 2nd shots were allegedly fired from the depository window seemed more prominent. The view from the fence where people on the bridge claim they heard the shots come from, walking across & sitting on the grassy knoll, etc.,

History.A place dedicated to preserving the history of one of America's most tragic events. The School Book Depository is the most well known building in the area and is forever tied to the events of November 1963.

Cord N — Google review

We went to the Sixth Floor Museum first, which offers great information and displays artifacts relating to the assassination. Afterwards, we went Dealey Plaza and it was cool to see where such a tragic event happened. I urge visitors not to take selfies or photos standing on the X to show respect to the site and the history of what happened there, as well as to avoid getting hit byoncoming traffic.

Wyatt H — Google review

This is a beautiful and popular memorial to JFK. I loved the reverence and the peaceful atmosphere there. We came from Salt Lake City tovisit Texas. My girls quietly drew pictures in the dirt next to the plaque of JFK's final speech. I kind of wish we had stopped by the 6th Floor Museum as well but we were short on time. Maybe another day. It actually brought tears to my eyes. So glad we stopped there!

Rachel F — Google review

A location that holds incredible historical significance to the United States and the world. It appears as a typical road entrance to a major city - but, the memorials around this area make you think about how it must have felt to see the assassination of JFK in person at Dealey Plaza and how it impacted the world thereafter.

John I — Google review

Like so many Americans, I can remember the day President Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas. I was 11 years old and recall being sent home from school when the news broke. During the next 60 years I watched every documentary or movie about the assassination. I read the Warren report. My wife and took the exit off the interstate in Dallas to Dealey Plaza on a bright blue Monday morning. Parking was easy and close. Nothing ever had made sense to me until the moment I stood on the grassy knoll myself. It seemed like I had been there before, but I hadn't. I looked up at the Texas School Book Depository ... the sixth floor window where Oswald allegedy fired his shots. I imagine seeing the presidential limo make the fateful turn off of Houston Street on to Elm Street. On Elm Street I see the Krylon spray painted X's denoting the spot the president was shot. Young boys were skateboarding over the spot. Somehow, I expected more reverance, more respect, and more answers. I just had more questions. The grassy knoll had a plaque where Zapruder shot his home movie. It was a Monday and the museum was closed. The area was empty of tourists. There was a an older man in a wheel chair near the corner of Elm Street who had been there as a young boy on November 22, 1963. He has dedicated his entire life researching and writing about his findings. He provided documentation about that day I had never heard of. Will we ever know? I 'm not sure, but my experience that day, walking the presidential route, provided closure. The area was clean and well maintained. Nothing had changed from 1963 except that the trees had grown taller. Many great food selections to pick from.

History museum

The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza is a repository of information about the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, which took place in its very building. The museum contains artifacts and exhibits that explore the life and death of JFK, as well as the various conspiracy theories surrounding his demise.

Comprehensive view of the events leading up and following the JFK assignation. The museum was very engaging and really did a good job of portraying the feelings of a city and country that had lost its President. Would strongly recommend a visit.

This was an experience you definitely don’t want to miss if you are visiting the Dallas area. It is a history buffs dream. The area is very well preserved and the “6th floor museum” will take you back in time. See the exact spot the shots were taken and clips of eyewitness testimony of citizens and Police that were present at the time. I was really impressed.

J J — Google review

I visited the Sixth Floor Museum on a recent visit to Dallas and was very impressed. There’s a paid parking lot next door which was super convenient. The museum isn’t huge and there were a lot of people navigating it. Although busy, we were still able to see everything that we wanted to. The museum was laid out really well. It allows you to really visualize what took place and where. If you ever have a chance to visit, you won’t be disappointed. It’s a great learning opportunity as well.

Great museum, lots of historical information on the tragic day of JFK's death. It was very busy on the weekend. The building has great views of Downtown Dallas and surrounding areas. I would recommend you visit if you like history.

Stanley M — Google review

Great experience. Humbling. They don't sugar coat anything including any controversy but it's a great place to learn about JFK and Jackie. It's surprising that many of the same issues faced then are the same today. Worth a visit if I'm the area!

Isaac O — Google review

It is an impressive museum and a great way to interact with modern American history. It truly allows for a greater understanding of the events of that day, and of American history at large. I highly recommend reserving tickets in advance, because there can be a lengthy wait.

Sarah — Google review

Highly recommend getting to the museum early. We were there shortly after it opened and there was quite the group of people already viewing the exhibits.Displays are well written and are informative. The movies show actual video footage from that day or in that era. It was worth the admission price. The staff was friendly. The bathrooms were large and clean. There was a water fountain. There is a well-stocked gift shop.

Elizabeth W — Google review

Visited on a Friday and it was possible to get right in buying a ticket at the counter. If you paid the tickets in advance you got in seconds before those without tickets. Maybe it’s an advantage in weekends 🤷🏼‍♂️Everything is very detailed but it’s not a guided tour. You read, look and watch at your own pace and it got screens a small movie setup and much more. The actual window from where Lee H Oswald fired the shots is behind glass but you are VERY close. Amazing and I got goosebumps by looking out the window right next to where it all happened. When you done the museum go down on the street to see the X on the street where JFK got shot. No ticket needed for that part.

René G — Google review

What an amazing museum. Everything was done well, from the early part of Kennedy's presidency, to the lead-up to his assassination, to the hectic day itself, and the investigation and conspiracies after. The museum doesn't seem to take sides on what it thinks happened, but reports the facts as-is.Taking a walk outside afterwards brings it all home, and the Sixth Floor website has a helpful (if sparse) online guide for when you walk around the assassination spot. The only negative was that it was fairly pricey for a museum of its size, but I would have no problem paying it again.

David E — Google review

I would have rated it a 5 but the guy in the booth outside was not professional at all. Acted like he was ready to go. Be sure to have exact change to park. The ladies inside the museum were nice though. Nice experience overall.

Bee — Google review

Busy. Buy your tickets in advance. Staff did a great job spacing out entrants to give time to browse the exhibits. Well laid out, lots of info, definitely worth the stop. Walked the line between respectful and still accurately telling the story. 1.5 to 2 hrs minimum inside to read most displays, more if you want to watch movies. Free walking app tour for the plaza afterwards if you want.

Pete K — Google review

Book online for timed entry which is a few dollars less than buying at booth. Went around 1pm on Friday and it was rather busy. Museum definitely worth making a 1-1.5h visit to learn about this tragic piece of history.

Jenn L — Google review

Amazing place and very informative. The entry fee is reasonable too at $25 for an adult. The museum takes you through the build up to the event from JFK's election right through to the investigations afterwards in lots of detail, including the many conspiracy theories. It takes around 2hrs to do the self guided tour so it's a reasonable amount of time and it was quite busy on a Saturday morning. The shop is quite pricey too so be warned - and not everything has a price on it!

Dave ( — Google review

I really wasn't expecting this museum to be as crowded as it was. I could imagine the crowds during peak tourist season. They do a ticket by the hour type of system. We did not buy ahead but at 2:15 (on a Thursday) we were still able to slide into the 2pm entrance time. The queue looks long but they allow about 15 people into the elevator every 10 minutes or so the displays can be quite busy with people reading. You don't have to stay in line so if there is a bottleneck you can skip around. I honestly don't think I learned anything new since I've read several books about Kennedy. But it was good to see so many young people there probably learning the details for the first time. Also maybe foreigners. Worth the visit. It was expensive at $25 each. If you struggle to stand it walk for a while there are some benches in the display area but not many. Across the street is the Grassy Knoll you can go to.

Cindy R — Google review

Great piece of history, surprised at the original book boxes and everything preserved, little strange being in same building and same window, nice tribute to JFK, thank you.

Z — Google review

Very impressive visit because it has a very comprehensive view on the incident and it provides various angles on the incident as well! Highly recommend to everyone who loves to learn more on this history, not just the incident itself, but also the investigation and analysis at the end.

Heidi — Google review

Awesome layout of the events of that fateful November day. Really makes one wonder if we actually know what really happened or what we are "led" to believe.

Sherry C — Google review

Amazing tour! Very detailed information that takes you from JFKs early life, through his presidency, and then the assassination. The tour was very organized as they take limited groups up to the 6th floor, and then you can wander through at your own pace.

Dave C — Google review

As a teen I was fascinated with the JFK assassination. I finally got a chance to visit the scene and come to my own conclusion lol. It's quite the feeling being here; knowing what occurred here in 63'. I got a chance to stand in the exact spot where James Files said he took the fatal shot. There's an X in the middle of Elm Street, which marks the spot JFK lost his life. I didn't get a chance to visit inside Delay Plaza where Lee Harvey supposedly took the 3 shots due to not tour spots available. I will definitely go back to complete the tour.

Zoos & Aquariums

The Dallas World Aquarium is a privately-owned aquatic wonderland home to countless varieties of marine life from all over the world.

We loved this so much. I wish there were more animals out BUT most were there. It was a cool adventure and definitely worth visiting. I also appreciate that they have curriculum on their website. We homeschool and used it as a lesson. So that’s perfect.!

Kaela J — Google review

The Dallas World Aquarium was a great stop for fun with the kids. It's fall break and we have grandparents in town, so we are finding shorter trips around Dallas. As expected from other reviews, our group (4 adults 3 kids 4-8yrs old) spent just under 2 hours there. There was a plethora of animals, not just sea life. There are beautiful birds, small adorable tamarins, SUPER curious otters that squeal, and of course all kinds of underwater critters. The kids had a blast from start to finish. It wasn't TOO much walking, but the paths can handle smaller strollers and elevators are there if needed. Lots of places to sit and rest, and bathrooms sprinkled throughout so no one has to hold it til the end. No food allowed, but no one stopped me from bringing a water in my bag. Drinks are also available for buy. If you need an afternoon activity, definitely try this one out!

Absolutely beautiful. It's like half zoo, half aquarium which was neat but it was super busy. The whole place is made up of these really narrow one way paths and while this design might work in theory to get people to go in a set path, in practice the result was every time someone stopped to look at something the whole line ground to a halt which resulted in a lot of waiting. If you aren't on a time crunch, it's very casual and beautifully designed but be prepared to do a lot of waiting in lines if it's busy and don't think you can easily go back and look at something.

We visited the Dallas World Aquarium during our spring break, and it was such a fun experience for the whole family! It’s more like an aquarium and zoo combined. There were so many animals to see—monkeys, birds, snakes, crocodiles, and penguins. The aquarium section was stunning, especially the tunnel area, which makes for a perfect photo spot.Everything is indoors except for the penguin exhibit, so it’s a great place to visit no matter the weather. The natural lighting throughout the space really added to the atmosphere, and we loved following the trail that guides you through the exhibits. The kids had an amazing time and were completely engaged the whole visit. Definitely a must-see for families in the area!

I didn’t know what to expect going in but it really blew away my expectations! Awesome floor plan with exhibits weaving through a circular jungle with a huge waterfall in the center. Everything looks great and well taken care of. The only points I would rock are the dart frog terrariums they could use a refresher! But nonetheless it was a great aquarium to visit and I would 100% go back and spend more time.

SUPER WELL DONE, this is a great exhibit, part zoo, part aquarium. really well laid out and they seemed to use all the available space. It is a LOT bigger on the inside than it looks. all the animals seemed happy and healthy. Definitely worth going more than once..

I have visited The Dallas World Aquarium today. It was a weekday and the crowd was minimal. The entrance was ~32$ however the Parking seemed bit high price. It would be nice if we could get a free parking.. The indoor rain forest and the water fall were the best .. could not get chance to take the better view of sharks however the rest were good. Would loved if there were few more reptiles .. overall worth watching….

Nagamohan P — Google review

This place was absolutely amazing. I have always loved aquariums but this was also a rainforest and zoo. It was worth the price and is quite big. There is a ton to see. Take your time while going through. This place will not disappoint.

This place was expertly designed. What a fun experience with fish and animals from all over the world. Most zoos have 1 signature tank and this place had 2. It was world class and I had a great time. Plan on spending at least 3 hours here to be able to see all the place has to offer

Cole R — Google review

I loved the penguin exhibit. It is one of the best penguin exhibits in the country. They are from South Africa and bring a unique touch to the aquarium. I would say that attending this location in November and March might be the best months to visit.

The Dallas World Aquarium is always a must, even if you've been there. I go every year with my nephews, and now my great niece. We all enjoy the beautiful animals, especially the tank with the manatee. My suggestion is go when there is not a crowd to enjoy it even more. The waterfall is my favorite. As my nephew and niece get older, we'll still continue going. It just never gets old.

Superb place! The atmosphere and vibe in the place is excellent. Lots of animals and a few unexpected surprises. It is true it has an aquarium with a considerable amount of things to see (like sharks) but it has a lot more animals than sea life. A must see! :D

A great way to spend a half-day. I wished they had more placards, as opposed to QR codes. We never did find a lot of species names because we couldn’t wrangle our tot while managing a phone. Otherwise, love the layout - not a traditional aquarium, but more of an aviary/zoo. Our tot loved it! Would love to come back!

I visited the Dallas World Aquarium with my daughter-in-law and one-year-old granddaughter. We had an enjoyable experience. There are tons of different types of animals and a variety of species. We had a unique experience and will definitely go back on a day that is less crowded. I will say that the glass enclosures and fences pose some challenges if you're looking to take pictures, but I managed to get a few shots that I really liked. All in all it was a great experience with some unexpected surprises (seriously - how cool is that stork???). We will be back.

Andi C — Google review

I had a wonderful time during my visit. The layout is intuitive and it’s easy to track and make sure you’re seeing everything. Not overly large - I was able to do a leisurely walk through in about an hour and a half. That being said I was a little disappointed in the lack of posted information about the animals and exhibits. There is a QR code you can scan for more information but I can Google and watch YouTube videos at home. The point is I’d like to learn while also being present with the animal right in front of me. As far as education goes that was a bust for me. Also, for being an aquarium, the saltwater exhibits left a LOT to be desired. Very very little coral diversity, and fish you can find in an ornamental fish store. In fact, I’ve seen more impressive private hobby tanks. Ironically the most beautiful aquarium they had (photo attached) was a freshwater planted tank tucked quietly away in the restroom area to the right of the river tank viewing area. Of course, the manatee was also delightful to see up close. Despite these few drawbacks, I still really enjoyed the visit.

We took our 4 year old and it was a great time! There's just enough to see without it being overwhelming and if you go early.. it's not too hot either. We will definitely come back 🙂

Enjoyable experience. Lasted about 2.5 hours for us. You will have to pay to park ( about $16). while you are waiting in line to purchase your ticket, youll see a slew of birds and monkeys which is nice. 5/5 would recommend for residents and tourist alike.

Great fun place. We go all the time. Clean, with friendly informative staff. Love the animal diversity. Wish there was more hands-on/interactive exhibits like at the Texas State Aquarium in Corpus but overall a great experience with stress free parking (a true bonus especially in the Dallas arts district)

Ginnie G — Google review

The place is small and it's so crammed you can't even move comfortably. I came here on a Weekend. We expected an amazing and fun day experience. It was interesting but there was tons of people in this compact building that we couldn't even move. They do have a diverse collection of different fish and bird species. Additionally, our experience lasted maybe 25 minutes. I expected more to see. $30 per adult for a 25 minute experience is ridiculous if you ask me. I thought I was the only one to think this but I heard a few follow patrons say "That's it?" when they reached the end.

I recently visited the Dallas World Aquarium, and I absolutely loved it! The aquarium offers a fantastic experience with a diverse range of exotic birds and fish. One of the highlights was the stunning waterfall, which spans about three floors. It added a beautiful and dramatic touch to the overall ambiance. The traffic flow is one-way, which ensures that you visit all the sections and don’t miss anything. I explored all the exhibits, and my favorite was undoubtedly the shark tank. The mesmerizing fish and the thrilling sight of sharks swimming overhead made it a standout experience. At the end of my visit, I stopped by the gift shop and purchased a few items for my memory. The Dallas World Aquarium is an amazing place to visit. It houses an abundant variety of species, and the overall experience is fantastic. I had a wonderful time and highly recommend the Dallas World Aquarium for a family outing. I would definitely go back again. It would be better if you purchased tickets in advance and prepaid for parking, which would significantly speed up the wait time!

We really enjoyed ourselves, and there was plenty to see and do for little ones as well as older kids. All floors are accessible for wheelchairs and strollers. Bathrooms on every level, I'm pretty sure, too, and hand sanitizing stations in between the exhibits. Decent size food court with all sorts of good eats. Bathrooms were all well maintenanced as well.

I wonder how many people drive by this Gem everyday and never go in. So this activity was part of the Dallas city pass. We had various option and thought we would just pop after all how much really is there to see. Well there is a lot. Don’t do what we did and just try and see it within a couple of hours that won’t work.Let’s start from the entrance. If you use their parking it’s 10 dollars so use it because everything else in this area is more. This place is built for you to stay all day. They have food and a ton of bathrooms so no need to leave until you’re done. They have 5 different movies about different aspects of the museum so check them out. We only did one and I was sad because we underestimated this place. Mr. Perot may have seemed boring on tv when I was younger but I have a whole new appreciation for what he’s had built here. From the fossils to the exhibits about energy and the stars it’s incredible. I’m not going to try and describe everything because I didn’t see everything so I can’t. I will let the picture speak for themselves. If your in the area and you have the city pass spend the day with your kids listening to them saying wow and how cool is that.

This is a wonderful museum. So interactive. The displays are top notch. There are buttons, levers, informational videos, interactive displays, gift shops, food options, modes transport in this 5 level museum are elevators, escalators stairs. Kids will absolutely love it here. There are add ons when you purchase tickets such as movies, and a dinosaur t Rex exhibit. Expect to take 2-4 hours to experience everything. There is hand sanitizers at every elevator but you might want to bring your own because everything is touchable.

The Perot Museum is a wonderful place for kids and adults to visit. The theme is nature and science so most of the exhibits centered around that theme. It was educational and the exhibits were very well done. The museum has a high quality feel to it. The staff were well educated and present to explain exhibits and regulate crowds when needed. I would recommend attendees be age 8 to adult.

One of the few musuems where kids of all ages don't get bored easily. I highly recommend visiting this place.Elevators are crowded as the day goes by. 3D movies not worth the money.T.REX was the special exhibit when we visited and was very good. Regular exhibits are interactive and informative.Parking was easy and closer to the musuem.

I went with a few friends on a Sunday and had a great time! There are so many floors of exhibits and interactive discovery games for all ages. There was so much stuff to see and do that we didn't even get to see it all. Well definitely be back sometime later in the year to see the rest.

This is a completely different way to experience the Perot Museum. I'd been before, but Thursdays on Tap is a whole new vibe. It's for ages 21+ so you can explore the exhibits with a drink in hand and live music playing. For me, the best part was the after-hours atmosphere. No kids running around meant a relaxed and enjoyable experience. The food trucks were a nice touch too, offering a variety of delicious options.Highly recommend checking out Thursdays on Tap for a fantastic date night option – something unique and memorable.

Visited the Perot Museum of Nature and Science without any pre-planning and thoroughly enjoyed it. We spent a good amount of time there, arriving in the first hour and not leaving until around 4 PM. There are so many fascinating exhibits to see and learn about. Highly recommend for a day of exploration and discovery.

If you have kids and looking for indoor entertainment that’s educational and also fun I highly recommend this place. We really enjoyed the day we spend here. Lots of fun stuff and so much to learn. They have information on a lot of different things and subjects. My favorite was the Being human hall. It was really fun. I also loved the Gems and Minerals hall. My husband loved the Engineering and Innovations exhibit. They also have a great cafeteria and lots of vegetarian options. I had a black bean burger. It was yummy and not overly priced at all.I would definitely recommend coming in early. The only things I didn’t like were the 3D movie. It was okay. I didn’t find it was 3D at all. The movie was good though. They also have a special Trex exhibit that we missed because we didn’t know about it. It’s in the basement.

Wonderful place full of excitement and learning opportunities. Enough hands on stuff to keep the little kids entertained while the older kids read about what interests them. Seeing the real human brain was a highlight! The food is ridiculously expensive, I would not recommend buying anything other than a light snack. Bring your refillable water bottle!

Not the biggest science museum, but all of the exhibits are well crafted and very fun for kids. I personally like the balanced approach to the energy sections (shows full transition from fossil to renewables) and my 2yr old daughter loves the weather/earth section.Kids museum on the bottom floor is a great complement to the exhibits. We spend an hour going through the museum and then can go to the kids museum till our daughter is tired

Great place to spend time just make sure to go early. It takes a while to go through the whole museum when you're having fun. Such a great place to take the little ones and learn a bit more of different topics of history there's also some hands on interactions.

This park is awesome! They have an amazing structure for the kids. The floor, playground it is all save to avoid accidents and injuries. Beautiful park! It kept my 6 and 8 year old busy with the open green space to play football and soccer, the ping pong tables that had the paddles and balls there, the fountain, live music, and park! The industrial look of the kids park was so fitting to the downtown. The food trucks had plenty of variety of ethnic foods to try, too! We did get to see Santa and he even tossed a football around with my son. Must see if you are in the Dallas area!

My visit to Klyde Warren Park in downtown Dallas was nothing short of amazing. We went on a Sunday morning and had no trouble finding plenty of meter parking in the area. This charming park is nestled right on an expressway, surrounded by the tall downtown buildings, which adds a unique urban vibe to the experience. The atmosphere was vibrant, with live music filling the air and vendors selling beautiful artwork and unique pieces. The food trucks lining the park offered a fantastic selection of delicious eats, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the day. I would most definitely come back to Klyde Warren Park and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and lively spot in the heart of the city.

This park is beautiful and it felt safe, even being in the middle of a busy city. It was like an oasis and you forget about the busy city around you. Very clean restrooms. Plenty of space to picnic, games to play, food nearby, and food trucks. The playground is a little small, but it has plenty to entertain, and it's mostly closed in. Only one gate in and out. Lots of water features, bring a change of clothes for the Littles, and the ground is a bouncy foam. Great park, my large family enjoyed, and I also enjoyed solo!

This is a super cool park and I got to visit it on successive days. In the afternoon, there was some sort of frisbee match going on that looked like a good time. Sunday morning, a very large Yoga group was doing their bending and twisting thing that also looked like a good time. And while all this is going on, kids are splashing in the fountains, people are practicing volleyball, people are drinking coffee, playing chess and doing crossword puzzles. All in this super cool park that's in downtown Dallas.Clever engineers figured out that they could build a park above a stretch of the highway that was moved underground. Very clever.

Klyde Warren Park is one of my favorite spots in Dallas! This urban oasis is perfect for relaxing, grabbing a bite, or just enjoying the outdoors. The park stretches over the freeway, which is cool in itself. There’s always something happening – food trucks line up with tasty options, there's live music, yoga classes, and a playground for the kids. The lawn is well-kept and great for picnics or just lying down with a book. The splash pad is a hit during the summer, especially for families. Plus, the park is super dog-friendly, so bring your pup along! It’s clean, safe, and the vibe is always positive and lively. Parking can be a bit tricky, but it's totally worth it. Overall, Klyde Warren Park is a gem in the city, offering a perfect mix of activities, green space, and urban charm. If you haven't been, you're missing out!

Walked into Specs today for a bottle of wine for my birthday. Wanted to try something new and surprise, surprise. Young lady by the door was offering samples. I tried the peach wine and it was delicious. Brought a bottle and I'm in love. Move over Martini & Rossi there's a new wine in my glass!!

Chubby T — Google review

Let me start by saying, the setup this winery is great. They have a bar/check out area, separate indoor seating in another room, outdoor seating, with and without shade, and bathrooms in a separate building so no one place gets too congested. The two women who served me my 10 wine tastings for $30, plus the glass, were great! I enjoyed chatting with them and hearing about the wine. There were a couple of dry wines I tried that were alright. However, this seems to be a winery that leans more towards sweet wines, as all of their best sellers are sweet. There is definitely a market for that kind of wine, but what I tried was not really to my tastes. I think this place is a lot of fun, but I'd come for the fun and experience, and not for the wine itself. But that's just me! Overall, I'm glad I checked it out.

Wifey and I hit Ennis for the yearly Bluebonnet thing and decided to finally try this winery. Would have been nice to park for free but $10 for valet isn't the end of the world. Very cool atmosphere for a Texas winery. The view isn't spectacular (a little surprising given the local area). The wine was alright, nothing mind blowing but then we're wine snobs. LOTS of sweets. My personal fav was the Cab/Merlot mix which was their best wine IMO. The pourers are mixed- one dude with a sharp button-up Shirt was very friendly and liberal with his pours. One lady poured like the wine came out of her personal winery. Yeah I get it's a one-ounce pour but really? Guess who had far more people at their station? Didn't matter as we each got the full $30 tasting and left pours on our tickets. We paid that forward to the couple who inherited our table.Excellent day though and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit! The build-your-own charcuterie box was reasonable and filling. Staff very welcoming. My only true complaint was the port-a-potties. Seriously guys? I personally could go in the bushes but I was horrified to see my wife forced to use them. Word of advice-take the valet $$$ and build some indoor plumbing bathrooms. I know we had out-of-staters there today for the eclipse and what a picture of Texas they are taking home lol.I know this isn't Napa but it's well worth the trip even if not Bluebonnet season. Would give 5 stars if not for the loo.Edited- I have since learned the reasoning behind the Porto Potties and the fact a surge in customer traffic could swamp the septic system (no pun intended) makes sense. Unfortunate, but understandable. The valet charge wasn't that big of a deal. Lots of sweet wine, but hence the winery name!

It’s the only vineyard around and it shows. You are greeted by a $10 mandatory valet parking and told absolutely no beverages are allowed out of your car. I asked about water given I had a reusable bottle for myself as well as for filling my dog’s water bowl. They said I have to leave it and when I asked if we would be provided water inside, I was told yes. Get in and told you must BUY bottled water and told the same for my dogs bowl. Um okay…. The $30 wine tasting was so underwhelming - sugar water at best and grassy plastic flavors at its worst. If you are anything of a “dry wine” fan, just don’t.They had “real” bathrooms but instead you are told you are only allowed to use port-a potties. Given the high prices and set up, an actual bathroom with running water is the least we could ask for. We left after four of the ten tastings.I don’t know, as someone who has been to countless vineyards and wineries around the world, this one is in a league of its own for being an underwhelming experience. Save you $40 for parking + tasting.

Having visited this winery for several years, some changes made were either improvements (such as a real restroom only available 11 mos of the year) or just out of the necessity to handle bluebonnet traffic (mandatory $10 parking fee in April only). My friend and I wanted to stop in yesterday only to be waved off by some man pointing at the second of two driveways. As we pulled in, he's flapping his arms like a chicken and yelling that the winery was closed. Why not post a sign stating it's closed? When we asked when they'd open, he said 20 minutes if people leave. What people (we couldn't even see any parked cars)? Then he kept rambling inaudibly. A quick check of their website showed no additional information about daily closures. So, what was once an annual tradition has ended on a bad note. We paid the ridiculous parking fee last year, but now with this clueless employee who obviously doesn't know how to communicate and the absence of a simple sign saying "CLOSED," we won't be coming back. Better wine and atmosphere can be found in Grapevine.Update: The response to my review is just a cover for the lack of communication and lack of providing pertinent info on their website. In all the combined visits made to this location during April and outside of April, the winery never once closed down. The person at the gate could have walked closer to communicate any concerns clearly and professionally. Texas has many great wineries; just steer clear of this one during the month of April, so you don’t have a bad experience.

Drove all the way from Mansfield with my friend from Granbury to just experience the winery on a non festival day, arrived on Saturday (4/13/2024) at 3:00pm, and was turned away. Said they had too many people. I have been every year on a festival day, I have seen the parking overflowing and that was not the case. The website stated they would be open from 11:00 to 6:00 pm. I was very disappointed as that was the whole reason we had traveled so far. Never again, I will go where my business is welcome.Updated:They told us 20 minutes, and gave us no place to hang out for the 20 minutes, what is someone supposed to do, drive in circles, and then loose their place in line, to be told still at capacity it will be another 20 minutes

Lesa W — Google review

Relatively small winery, but a nice stop on the Blue Bonnet trail. In the month of April, you have to use valet parking ($10), but there’s no way to tip the valets as you don’t pay them directly. They should adopt the use of a valet app. Until then, bring cash or feel bad not tipping.I’m not a wine drinker but they also brew their own beer. I’d recommend the Amber, they compared it to a Shiner Bock, and I’d say that was a good comparison.

My husband & I had a great time at Sugar Ridge Winery. We went for our 12th wedding anniversary and I'm so glad we did! The atmosphere was very chill. The staff was very attentive and friendly. They had a musician (I think his name was Josh) playing acoustic on guitar. Every song I loved btw! And the food was delicious. We will be going back.

I highly recommend this winery and area during the Bluebonnet Season (April). In addition to being one of the best areas to see bluebonnets, this winery offers a good selection of wine plus a relaxing environment to add to your excursion.

Beautiful winery. Peaceful and quiet. The staff was amazing and very knowledgeable. Buddy was the best matitre'd ever. The choose your own charcuterie was a joke. Be sure to bring your own food. All the wine was too sweet for my taste, but the view was worth the trip.

Museum

Non-profit organization

The Museum of the George W. Bush Presidency contains 14,000 square feet of exhibits that detail the president's eight years in office. The collection also includes a replica Oval Office and a policy institute.

The George W Bush Presidential Library and Museum is such a cool museum! There is a replica of the classic Oval Office, a room where you can make presidential decisions that George W. may have faced, and at the time of this review until Dec. 31st this year, there is a special exhibit called “Freedom Matters” that features a pocketbook version of the Magna Carta, Emancipation Proclamation, a 1831 print of the Declaration of Independence, and much more!

Noah A — Google review

It was a fun and interactive experience! I loved that each section had a guide to help explain what was being displayed in the exhibit. They were extremely knowledgeable and genuinely excited to be a part of the exhibit. The presentation for the Situation Room was humorous and enlightening. We went on a Sunday afternoon and there wasn't any wait time nor was it packed with people. I definitely recommend going.

Michelle M — Google review

i enjoyed my visit. lots to see and learn about his years as president. the oval office was very cool. they take your picture sitting at the desk. the staff was very friendly and talked a lot about each section. well worth the admission price.

John C — Google review

An exceptional destination for anyone interested in modern American history. The interactive exhibits, including the compelling Decision Points Theater, provide a fascinating look at critical moments of the Bush presidency. The museum's collection of artifacts and documents is impressive, offering deep insights into both domestic and foreign policies. The replica Oval Office and the poignant September 11th exhibit are standout features that shouldn't be missed. Situated within a beautiful urban park, the museum offers a serene setting for reflection. Overall, it's a well-curated and thought-provoking experience that's highly recommended.

Nok K — Google review

The reason for three stars is the price. $50 for myself and 12 year old. No AAA discounts. Easy to get to. Very clean and nicely laid out. When you have a tween in a museum you have maybe an hour tops. So that makes this $$$. Then the pics of you in the oval office are $33!! The goal here needs to be to get as many people in as possible to view this place. And that makes it unaffordable for most.

Amy W — Google review

I visited George W. Bush's presidential library during a trip to Dallas for a wedding reception. While the tickets may be a bit expensive, the museum itself is quite interesting. Upon entering, you're greeted with a display of gifts from various countries, including a stunning scene around an oasis from Saudi Arabia. The museum features a large chamber with screens playing scenes from American life, as well as impressive statues of both the Bush presidents. One section that stood out to me was dedicated to freedom, highlighting the importance of liberty. The replica situation room and Oval Office were also intriguing. As I left, I reflected on Bush's efforts to combat AIDS in Africa and his overall decency as a human being. Despite my initial reservations, I now appreciate his contributions. Would love to see more presidents like him in the future.

Mukund N — Google review

The visit here was really cool. Got to read a lot about the former president and the different events that happened during his presidency.Walking through the center gives a perspective of what he went through during the duration of his time in office. Some things you may be able to relate to as for some of the events, I know for myself, I was still in school when they happened. The most touching tribute/ event is the World Trade Center attacks. Part of the south tower can be found here and it really brings back the memories of this horrific tragedy.

Scott G — Google review

This is a definite, must-see location because the history you learn from this place will live forever. It is a great site whether you are old or young and we all need to learn from it all. There is a replicate Oval Office you can tour. The gift shop has everything from magnets, books, and shirts to collectibles.I highly recommend this place to visit.

Tom C — Google review

As far as presidential libraries go it's OK. The exact or replica of the oval office is great. They also have a piece from the World Trade Center towers. One of my favorite things to see at the presidential libraries are the gifts that are given while they're in office. It's worth seeing. They have a photographer in the oval office but make sure you get your own picture because they charge I believe it's $33 for a set of pictures so just get your own with your own camera.

Greg A — Google review

Remarkable and unforgettable experience. The volunteers are fantastic; they were very helpful and eager to answer questions. My only issue is that signs to park at the site are not sufficient nor helpful. Room for improvement here. Better signage and directions will provide a better experience to visitors of the presidential library.

Diego V — Google review

Great library. It highlights all the major events of our nation during this era of our nation. Inside there is a section about 911. This museum is unassuming. Parking lot is small and across from the street and I have to circle couple of times using google maps. I am glad I went there even though I only had an hour to rush through.

Frances P — Google review

This was my first ever visit to a presidential library. The library provides a unique perspective on Bush's runup to the presidency, including the election drama. It also goes into detail on Bush's tenure in office. The museum includes a replica of the Oval Office and an actual reconstructed situation room from his tenure. I would recommend purchasing the City Pass ahead of time to enter at a discounted rate.

Kevin A — Google review

It's great to learn about George W. Bush and the history of laws such as freedom and amendments. The museum is located on the campus of Southern Methodist University and is not very big. You can buy tickets through the CityPASS, which is more affordable.

Gene L — Google review

Fantastic Presidential Library. Great look into Ws life and presidency. Awesome Docents and staff. Great restaurant. New for this year is the actual Situation Room so definitely check that out, only open on weekends as I understand. Also the replica of the Oval Office is the only one you can actually walk around in. Highly recommended. A credit to George and Laura Bush’s legacy.

Robert F — Google review

I didn't know what to expect when I went to the Presidential Library. It was very cool. The 9/11 parts brought out some emotions in me for sure. I also got to see some really cool old books that were there for a display. Overall, I enjoyed the experience.

Nick L — Google review

This is the third presidential library/center I have visited. I only had a limited time to visit, but I was easily able to get through security and buy my tickets. I couldn’t spend a long time in the museum, but it was set up really well and in a very organized manner. The employees were very friendly and knowledgeable in all the areas. My favorite part was the Oval Office and the piece of one of the World Trade Center towers. They have a cafe and a library that I didn’t get to check out. Overall, I recommend a visit if you have the time and enjoy a museum.

Jason B — Google review

The displays were well done, and the staff was friendly and helpful. There is signage that tells about the 43 president (and his wife, Laura) from his earliest childhood days in Midland, Texas, through his military and college days, being elected the Governor of Texas twice, and then his successful election into the US Presidency. We have been to two other presidential libraries—Reagan and George H. W. Bush. I found those libraries better able to pull the visitor into the president’s life. I was eager to get to this one, but I left feeling a little disappointed. It didn’t seem to draw the visitor. We were pushed out of the Reagan Library and came close to closing down the 41st President’s library, but we spent about 2.5 hours here, and it was enough.

Elizabeth W — Google review

Although I don’t share Bush’s political philosophy, it was a great experience coming to his presidential museum and seeing a 3D timeline of his presidency through different rooms with interactive exhibits. The 9/11 exhibit was very emotional for me and other guests. There is also a replica his Oval Office. There is also a general exhibition about democracy and forms of government on the opposite side of the museum. This is the second presidential center I have visited besides the Richard Nixon Museum in Yorba Linda, California.

Gabriel G — Google review

Such an excellent trip through the Bush 43 presidency and an exploration through his mind and priorities. We need to remember just what this country stands for and why live as well as we do. FREEDOM - not cheap.Loved the decision points theater.

PTR — Google review

A well done presidential library that incorporated technology well. The 9-11 day by day video wall section is worth the trip by itself. It will probably take most people an hour to 2 hours to fully experience the displays. Currently the cost is 26 for adults.

Botanical garden

Nature & Parks

The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is a 66-acre garden set on White Rock Lake with frequent concerts, special exhibits & classes. It is world-class and perfect for a relaxing day out.

Lovely place to visit. Food is average from the place at the front of the gardens, didn’t eat at the other place. The woman at the ticket window was very kind and informative. The seat cushions were moist, as if they were still drying off from getting hit by sprinklers, but that was okay. Plenty of places to sit everywhere, and decent shade. Saw multiple bunnies and robins and squirrels. Also there were lots of bees but that’s to be expected. An absolutely beautiful place to picnic. The koi pond was my favorite part, as it was nice and shady. I definitely would recommend coming when it’s cooler.

Elisabeth — Google review

This incredibly well-kept arboretum is stunning. The landscapes and vistas are meticulously kept and tended to. They have so many different areas and "biomes" it keeps it interesting as well. Many more water features are integrated than in other similar gardens we have been to. All in all, definitely worth the time! The pumpkin village was awesome and well kept. There was a musical performance happening too.**Bring your own water and put on sunscreen. There are a few locations through the walk that have vending, but unless you are staying on the shaded paths only, be aware of the heat and distance you are walking.

Bring your walking shoes and a compass. Loved the winding complex trails and fantastic laying and landscaping throughout. Can I live here? The volunteers I came across were really lovely. I went solo & without me asking they offered to take my pic as I was struggling to selfie. Also they were super informative.

So so beautiful for $3 the experience is incredible. By far my favorite place to visit in Dallas and weirdly the most inexpensive. The structures and statues are so beautiful to look at and the flowers were so beautifully arranged. I recommend going as early as possible because the heat was a lot and there's so much to see before it gets unbearable.

Lauren G — Google review

Beautiful gardens ! Really well designed layout with beautiful rock gardens and water features throughout the grounds. Some of my favorite areas included the koi pond that is combined with waterfalls, sculptures, and some pretty cool looking paths. The stone and masonry are inspiring and just amazing to walk around and experience.Sunday morning inn early October is a very busy time to come here. The fall theme with pumpkins and gourds are obviously highly sought after. With this in mind, it may be prudent to come about an hour and a half before close. Experiencing this place in the evening will be my next attempt. Parking is ample but also $15. Enjoy !

Phillip L — Google review

The best thing that you can find in Dallas if you want to go with your loved one to experience peace and garden. You can spend 2 hrs to almost a whole day here depending on your leisure, and also, most of the things you can do is have a photo shoot and spend precious time observing different types of flowers. The only downside is the parking price is almost the same as the ticket price, which they should review. Otherwise, this is the place where you can get a good view of a white rock lake.

Great place! Many good spots for photos, I saw a lot of people dressed up and shooting photos for pageant or something. Great drink places inside as well. Also, there's this perfect picnic place inside. People were relaxing and watching shows while enjoying peaceful time with their families. Great place for a couple or family.

I LOVED THIS PLACE!!!First off, this garden is absolutely MASSIVE and it is stunning along with it’s size! The assortment of flowers and plants they have are beautiful and walking here felt extremely calming and lovely. I would come here every single day if I could. The entry fee is only $5 which is a great price for a location as such! We didn’t manage to check out all of the location but from the amount I managed to see, I wish I could live here. I really loved this garden and will definitely be coming back the next time I’m in Dallas!

Enjoyed the first day of the fall festival. We have never seen so many pumpkins. The pumpkin village was awesome and pretty. There was a musical performance happening too. A day well spent. Highly recommend visiting.

Been going here for the past two years and are members. Plenty of flowers and trees to see. Seeing the different blooms is fantastic. Easy to walk paths and plenty of places to sit. Children's garden is really nice but is an additional ticket.Easy to get to with two places to park. One of them is a parking garage. Place has good access for people in wheelchairs.

Paul P — Google review

Coming here is like you escape the city without actually leaving the city. We had never been here and were quite impressed anmm by how well organized everything was. There is so much variety of trees and plants. We didn't know it when we decided to visit but a picnic lunch that you bring is not frowned upon. And there are certainly many places to do just that. There are, of course, places to eat inside while visiting if you so wish to.We went on a weekday, so parking wasn't an issue. But it looks like even when it's crowded, parking will not be an issue. They have a great place for you to park right across the street and are able to get to the arboretum via an underground tunnel to avoid the busy street. If you have never been, it's well worth checking out at least once. I definitely believe you'll want to come back after visiting the first time.

No wonder it's in the top 10 arboretum in the U.S. Even as hot as it was outside , the beauty and the shade made it all worth it . If you love nature , they have it in spades(boomer expression for you young ' uns ). Color, expression, texture, interaction, you have it all . We enjoyed so much with our daughter and 9 year old grandson. Lots of interaction for the children (and grandpa's). We can't say enough about the pumpkins. Pumpkins everywhere! Wonderful job ,crew !

I've been to Arboretums and Botanical Gardens all over the Country and this one is a 10/10 and might be my favorite. Was so happy to see so many things blooming in the summer. It is *very hot* so we arrived right around opening and left before noon. Was happy to have plenty of shaded areas to keep somewhat cool.Had a wonderful time walking around and taking pictures of all of the gorgeous blooms.Definitely do not miss if you are visiting Dallas. Worth the visit!Google Maps brought us to the 3rd Entrance / Parking garage which has a convenient tunnel to the entrance and no lines at the gate.

Stephanie ( — Google review

A few spots had natural breezes to cool us down in the summer heat. The arrangement of flowers were well done. Landscape was wonderful too. We liked the poetry garden. The garden is worth to visit all year round. More flower in the spring, but summer was good to spend a morning too. The gift shop was cute, I see different items when I go.

Teanyoung J — Google review

It was an amazing decision to visit the Arboretum. After exploring downtown Dallas this was a much needed break. I took the bus from downtown which was a smooth and straight ride there. The views and downtown across the lake and wonderful and the boutique lemonades are $1 refills. I grabbed a book, a lemonade, and spent the day wandering and relaxing.

Maggie N — Google review

What a fun place to go during the current pumpkin season. They have the place so well decorated, And so much to see and do for kids. Make sure you bring good walking shoes as you will be doing a lot of walking.

The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is one of those spots in the city where you can just unwind and soak in some natural beauty. It’s spread out over 66 acres along White Rock Lake, so there’s plenty of space to explore and relax. The gardens are really well-kept, and you can tell a lot of thought has gone into the design. Depending on when you visit, you’ll see different seasonal flowers and plants, which keeps things interesting. One of my favorite areas is the Nancy Rutchik Red Maple Rill. The red maples there are just stunning, especially when they’re in full color. The Woman’s Garden is another gem, with its peaceful reflecting pools—it’s a great spot if you’re looking to chill and maybe snap a few photos. The Arboretum isn’t just for plant lovers, either. They’ve got this awesome Children’s Adventure Garden that’s perfect if you’ve got kids in tow. It’s full of fun, interactive exhibits that make learning about nature a blast. They also host events throughout the year, like the Dallas Blooms festival in the spring, which is seriously a feast for the eyes with all the tulips and other flowers. All in all, whether you’re into gardening, photography, or just need a break from city life, the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is a fantastic place to spend a day. It’s got that perfect mix of beauty, relaxation, and a little bit of learning.

Deren — Google review

The Dallas Arboretum is one of my favorite places in Dallas. It's beautiful year round, though nothing beats being there in a day where the weather is particularly beautiful. Each season is different to see, and each year there is a different theme. This year, 2024, the pumpkin patch theme is Texas Town and there was essentially an entire Texas cowboy town created out of pumpkins, cornstalks etc. Adorable and so creative.People largely think it's a place for children and kids, which is true- there is lots of space to run and explore. But it's a nice day date opportunity to just walk together and enjoy nature (without having to hike a trail or be physically active). It's mainly wheel chair accessible as I saw many people being pushed in wheelchairs the last time we were there.

Not much going on. The house is cool to see as a part of history but again...not much to see in there. I do love all the animals present in the farm. Very fun to walk around and see them.Beware of parking they save their designated parking lot for handicapped parking so you will most likely have to park along the street. If you don't have kids you will most likely be in an out in under an hour

Had a great time with the family here. They had decorated for Christmas and have done a truly wonderful job with the lights and having syned to the music in various areas! Come see the lights with your family, make scores, take photos and make memories!!! There are souvenirs for purchase and some food items. It was not very crowded at yhe time but it could get that way real quick. Parking was next door at a store called BT furnishings. Parking was free but there is a cover charge to go inside the Museum. There were animals there as well so the farm aspect was still there, pigs, chickens, etc. There are bathrooms and a gift shop that had other souvenirs as well. We spent about an hour here. The place is not really that big, so if your drive is a little more than a half hour or so there might be better venues that are more economical for the time spent for my family as we live not far away it was worth.

I had heard about Heritage Farmstead Museum but never had a chance to visit until this year. They have this holiday lights event at night and we decided to come with the immediate family. We had a party of 12 and we really enjoyed our time there. The parking was easy, the Museum had staff outside directing traffic. Inside, there were plenty of fun photo sets for both kids and grownups. They were selling mini donuts, hot chocolate and even s'more sets that you could cook over these small sections with little fire pits. Everyone had a blast. We will need to come back to see what the place looks like in the morning one of these days.

This place is so cute and a great place to visit. The main home is probably the most well preserved historic home I’ve ever been to. All the artwork and wallpaper and a lot of the furniture is original bc it was only one family who owned it before the museum bought it. Ammie Wilson was the last person who lived there and she died in the 1970s. The tour guide was so sweet and informative. She gave a great tour! And it was only 10 dollars per person for the house and grounds tour.

I’ve volunteered here on and off for about 15 years after first visiting during a homeschool day 16 years ago, and will be getting married here in the fall. I cannot say enough good about the people and place! No matter how long it’s been, every time I visit I feel like I’m home again. Whether you’re going for camp, an event, or just to visit, the farmstead is always a great place to go!

We visited Heritage Farmstead on a school field trip. I highly recommend this place! 5 stars is not enough for the treatment we received. We came with a group of special needs kiddos and Heritage Farm knew exactly what to do. They had us separated into groups and then stations. The stations were so hands on, short and sweet to the point, just the right amount. We then got to have lunch on their garden which we were joined by the chickens. We will be returning here. LOVED this place! Thank Heritage for your kindness.

Wonderful experience and your!! We learned a lot about the owner’s farmstead and history through the guided house tour. Despite it being a bit cold and rainy during our visit, we still got to experience everything including seeing all of the buildings, feeding the chicken, seeing the animals, and a tractor ride!! While it may look like a small farmstead there is a lot of history and things to do for the family here. I love the unique items and trinkets at the gift shop too!!

Tip: most crowded is at opening, there were a lot less crowds 7pm onwards.Wonderful place to visit to see the lights, decorations, and farm animals (chickens, hogs, Shrek donkey, and turkey). Although relatively a small area, we spent almost three hours, since you walk through it like at ikea, and you have option to buy hot chocolate ($5) and smores kit. There are about ten has fire pits around the large Christmas tree where you can sit and make your smore. Hard to find a spot though unless later in the evening.Kids loved playing on the light up hopscotch on the ground! As well as the Trolls performance.Besides with Santa there are a ton of great places to take selfies.

Really cute historical farm! My kids had a great time at the story telling of 3 little pigs. Their favorite parts were the tractor lead wagon ride, and seeing the animals. Great place for a short morning trip with little ones, and love that it's conveniently located in the heart of Plano. Some of the volunteers working there were a little rough around the edges with the kids, especially for people who are interacting with young children. Otherwise it's a really lovely site! Definitely recommend.

Heritage Farmstead Museum is a historical treasure! Stepping onto the grounds feels like a journey back in time. The well-preserved buildings, knowledgeable guides, and authentic artifacts create an immersive experience. The farmstead offers a glimpse into pioneer life, showcasing the challenges and triumphs of early settlers. The meticulous restoration of the Victorian Farrell-Wilson House is a testament to the commitment to preserving history.

Downtown Plano is a place that has maintained its historic character and is perfect for photo ops. There are cute and charming shops and restaurants that make for a great getaway with friends or dates. The downtown also has its own train which makes it easy to explore.

Great music venue for new artists. Clean beautiful and safe downtown. Has a nice community park. Their October community dinner for 200 is always a cool party to be a part of. Lots of food options and a farmer’s market is great. Don’t forget to stop by Green Vine Market - really good grocery store. 🌿🫑🥑🥭

You won't spend all day here, but you will have fun and enjoy your time.

Pretty downtown with good eateries. We enjoyed the rooftop of urban pizza and matcha at fourteen eighteen. It doesn’t have as many shops as I would’ve liked though. All in all a cute spot to walk around.

Cute little historic downtown. The boutiques and eateries were stuffed with great retail items and wonderful menu options. Spend a few hours enjoying history with the owners of Main street shops and restaurants. Purchased a handbag, earrings, summer shawl and a wonderful recipe book for newlyweds at Lyla’s and enjoyed coffee and pastries from the local bakery.

I live here. People drive like maniacs around pedestrians and get pissed at people who, God forbid, are walking in a walkable neighborhood. Great coffee shops. Family friendly events happening all the time.

Justin G — Google review

One of my favorites areas that I’ve found in the Dallas area since moving here two years ago. Good restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and other shops, with more than one public parking lot so plenty of space to park within a max of a block or two to walk if street parking for a particular place full. My favorites are: 32 Degrees (rooftop bar above urban crust pizza), 1418 Coffeehouse & Better than Sex (dessert shop). There’s also a plaza area and frequent events there. The whole area is cute and feels well kept and safe to walk around. My favorite time to go is during holiday season when everything is decorated and lit up😊

We love hanging out in Downtown Plano! There are fantastic restaurants such as Ebesu (Sushi) and Jörg’s (Authentic Austrian Food and Beer), fun bars such as Vickery Park with art and games, Fillmore with a great patio, and McNeal’s with Irish food and beer, and cute shops. There are also a lot of community events that happen here. Parking is ample and there is a DART train station for easy transportation.

Jodi P — Google review

It was a nice place to take picture and hang out with family and friends

Ulises C — Google review

Beautiful place to walk around with fun events year round, with plenty of easily accessible parking. The square is also wheelchair accessible. We visited this weekend to see the Dickens Christmas event! Carolers, Christmas-themed ballet and hip hop performances, and theater performances. Everyone was friendly and the shop owners in the district are always happy to chat and give recommendations. Definitely stop by for a few hours if you’re in town!

Ashley B — Google review

Cool place live music good food good parking traffic not bad and close to train station but also drunk people but safe bc close to the police station but easy to get pulled over bc it’s close to the police station lol

It was nice place and i like every Saturday music over there!

Downtown Plano is lovely place. There are several shops, restaurants to roam around and enjoy.

Falguni B — Google review

This is an awesome place for dates or to hang out with friends. Easily accessible by train and lots of locally owned businesses to support. Or if you are looking for a free date, the park is beautiful. There are also events and community theater performances on occasion, so check the downtown plano website for the calendar.

Charlotte B — Google review

I had a blast at downtown Plano! They were having a Halloween festival, and my family love the time we had there. Definitely will be going back to try several restaurants down there.

Nearby outlet mall with open concept and variety of shops. Parking is scarce on weekends. There could have been a children play area. The location is situated strategically near the freeways. There are limited food or drink options inside the premise. Liked the cleanliness of restrooms and general area. There are security guards placed there. Overall liked this outlet mall and can be visited with friends and families.

I love this place. It's not overly crowded. It's hard to find a parking space, but with a little patience, one will be available. I went to Kay's and the ice cream shop. Both places are clean with friendly staff. Very nice area. Not too busy. Lots of high-end stores. Makes for a nice walk on a beautiful sunny day.

Sylvia V — Google review

Parking here SUCKS. When it's busy here, I have a hard time enjoying myself bc of the crowds. However, on slower days, this is a great place to come with a wide selection of stores.

E. S — Google review

Nice outlet mall. Lots of stores. Didn't really spend long here, as I have these types of outlets back home and in New Hampshire where it's tax-free. Was just passing through and visited but overall it looks like it's a great place to visit and walk around especially in months when the weather is a little bit cooler and better to walk around in. They do have food trucks on site offering food which was very nice to see. Better than chain restaurants that are usually located at these types of outlets.

James G — Google review

A real diamond in the rough and one honey of an outlet shopping mall to do your bidding. Armani. Bath and Body Works. Samsonite Suitcases. Clark Shoes and so so much more! Loads of places to shop til you drop or eat until you fall asleep!? Come one. Come all to Allen Premium Outlets Mall, but come early and plan to stay late y'all! Otherwise YOU WILL get; lost, run over or shouted down in the hustle and bustle of the busy North Texas Shopper dear friends! Nice place though.

David D — Google review

Allen Premium Outlets is a shopper's paradise that offers an incredible selection of high-end brands and designer stores. The layout is spacious and easy to navigate, making it a comfortable shopping experience. The variety of stores cater to a wide range of preferences, from fashion and accessories to home goods and electronics. The outlet's discounted prices make it an excellent destination for those looking to snag great deals on quality products. Additionally, the food court and dining options provide a convenient and satisfying break during a day of shopping. Whether you're a local resident or a visitor, Allen Premium Outlets promises a day filled with retail therapy and remarkable savings.

Surender N — Google review

Lots of brand outlets. Pretty exhaustive to cover in a day 🤪, but really liked the options here for shopping. For such a place was expecting more no. Of restaurants but there are handful only.

Anurag P — Google review

Parking is an issue during long weekend sales. You will have hard time not only finding parking but also good sales. Looks like online has a better deals than in store shopping. Definitely avoid if you are plan to just shop and not spend time with family and roam around. As shopping deals are better online plus you will spend good amount of time traveling if you are not close to this place, waste gas and time ( matters the most) . I experienced a generic sales scheme and didn’t find it worth going over hereBut upto to each individual. Like I said if it’s just shopping then avoid !!

Vinay — Google review

It’s really nice for a walk. There are lots of shops and places to eat. Something for everyone.

Melody A — Google review

I would avoid it during the summer, first time going and I got stuck trying to enter the shopping center. Ended up coming in through the hotel around the back. Then stores are not situated for walking at all, there are parking spaces inside the square so you have to cross or go around the the long way to get to the other stores. The stores themselves are small, youre better off going to Grapevine.

Allith G — Google review

A lot of outlets to shop from everything having some or the other kind of offer. Lot of good varieties to choose from. Only if we got empty parking space it would have been better.

Aman C — Google review

A good number of shops (~120 they say) offer lots of apparel and some beauty products. I missed electronics and other hardware and truly great offers, but then again...there are probably better shopping days if you have the flexibility to pick them.

Mario E — Google review

Allen Premium Outlets in Dallas is a solid choice for shopping, offering a wide range of major brands and plenty of food options to keep you fueled during your trip. However, the outdoor layout is a downside, especially in the hot weather. Walking from one shop to another under the sun can be quite uncomfortable. While the mall is labeled as a premium outlet, some of the brands still carry hefty price tags, so it's not always the bargain you might expect. Personally, I prefer indoor malls with air conditioning for a more comfortable shopping experience.

Chinmay S — Google review

Allen Premium Outlet offers a fantastic shopping experience with its wide selection of stores and excellent amenities. Whether you're a local or visiting from out of town, this outlet mall is a must-visit destination. The variety of stores is impressive, featuring well-known brands and designer labels at discounted prices. The layout is convenient and easy to navigate, with plenty of parking spaces. However weekends are often busy so you might have to stuggle a little for parking.

Pooja K — Google review

The outlet shops themselves are good, lots of selection, good stores. But they really need to figure out the traffic and parking situation. It makes it almost unbearable to visit because it’s just such a pain and people are aggressive drivers as a result. Too busy.

Brooke N — Google review

When I went to this mall on the weekend a lot of people took forever to find parking. But you can see every store at this mall that's the best thing and too many people don't have space to walk crowded.

Karun C — Google review

It has a lot of stores. That's the only good thing about this place. The parking scene is terrible. Hard to find a spot and you will most likely be stuck in a jam even on regular weekends. This is all still bearable, if you can find good clothes and decent deals. I have been here thrice shopping for apparel, and all three times I was disappointed by the lack of a good collection. If you are shopping for clothes for men, I don't recommend this place.

Vikas P — Google review

I have not returned since the mass shooting. I am extremely traumatized still. I pass by but keep driving, and cannot build up enough guts to drive into there area due to flashbacks of the scene. I give sincere condolences to the families and I hope they are respected and it's just to hard for me to come back to this mall..

Landon Winery, located in McKinney, Texas, is a popular spot for wine enthusiasts. With two locations in historic downtown McKinney and Greenville, it's easily accessible from Dallas and Fort Worth. The winery is renowned for producing top-notch Texas wines, offering visitors the chance to observe the wine-making process at either site. Guests can enjoy tastings of award-winning wines made from Napa grapes while taking in the delightful aroma of fine wines.

This place is great place to grab some wine. I love the sampling of wine at this place. I will definitely be back to this place.

Thomas G — Google review

Nice, relaxing atmosphere and good wines. The offerings run from sweet reds to dry and dessert wines. The Yellow Rose, Raspberry, Peach, and Chocolate dessert wines are exceptional. The cheese board and spinach dip pair very well with all wines. I would recommend the tasting flight, they have so many options to choose from. Limited seating inside, but there is a lovely patio facing the Town Square with plenty of seating. Reasonable prices for a glass of wine. The downside is the staff, they are a bit snooty and aloof. Customers have to try and get their attention to buy anything. Definitely room for improvement on the service. 🍷

Alyssa D — Google review

Sadly the owner of this place doesn’t support local events. We were downtown on Saturday for the Home for Holiday’s event at 11:30am with our dance studio and our little girls were practice their dances and staying out of the rain on their porch when we were told this is a “Private Patio” and we needed to leave. Meanwhile several of the parents had grabbed a glass of wine!I have been to this location one other time with my husband for a drink and was so turned off by the service it’s no wonder this is how they would treat us while we were there for a community event. This is one McKinney location we will not be supporting!

Tracey H — Google review

Has an amazing experience at the Grapevine location so decided to stop in (unplanned) strolling through Downtown McKinney. What a pleasant staff and venue. Definitely date night worthy.

Ryan S — Google review

We were drawn to this place on the square in McKinney because it was bustling with people and had folks setting outside and relaxing at tables having wine. It was nice inside and had a decently large selection of wines to choose from. After sampling some different wines, we ordered and bottle of the Amarone with a cheese tray. Both the wine and food were good. Nice bathrooms too.

Clint S — Google review

Absolutely the best wine and service in McKinney! I’ve been several times. Definitely get the meat and cheese board - it’s delicious! The staff knows so much about wine, and they are so accommodating! The space itself is cozy and in the heart of downtown. Molly has been a favorite bartender to be specific. She cares so much about your experience!

Phil D — Google review

We have been club members for 3 years and have seen the service decline over the last few visits to McKinney. We also have purchased cases at Christmas season. My wife and I asked to taste the wines we were picking up. Server poured one minute tasting in a plastic cup. Had to ask for the 2nd PLASTIC cup.Very disappointed in the service and we are ready to cancel.

Ralph Z — Google review

I do enjoy it when I come here BUT Hmmmmmmmmm. Yeahhhhh….its definitely good wine and it’s a cool space (downtown McKinney) but it somewhat feels like this company is asleep at the wheel. What are you guys really doing and aiming for - where’s the passion and fire! This is cool concept but don’t rest on past successes - this needs to keep getting better and it’s a bit stagnant now.

Danny B — Google review

We attended the Mother’s Day Brunch again this year!! We have attended these for several years now and as usual the Landon’s McKinney crew did NOT disappoint!! The set up this year was perfect!… We loved that it was set up in the large room and the serving areas were perfect! Rhonda, Cathy and the entire crew did an excellent job making sure all guests are taken care of! The only recommendation I heard was that offering coffee ☕️ during the brunch would make it an A++++!!! Thanks for providing a wonderful, friendly environment for us!! 😄 It’s like visiting family!! 🥰 And oh, by the way, the wine 🍷 is GREAT as well!!

Nikki C — Google review

Hands down, the best winery! The staff is so knowledgeable and friendly, so no matter what your level of wine experience is, they will help you find the perfect wine for your taste. And the wine is absolutely fantastic, too! Do not miss out on this gem!

UPDATE : After a pleasant response to my initial review from the business I decided to stop by again. I chose a Sunday this time and it was not as busy. Rhonda was SO nice and she made the experience wonderful. I LOVE the frozen winarita’s and the spinach dip. I suggest stopping by on a Sunday when it’s not as busy and check them out! l love when businesses care to keep their customers happy. I’d recommend this winery ! I even purchased a gift card for a friend to check them out!

Great little spot on corner in downtown McKinney. We go on a lot of Wednesdays for “Wine Down Wednesday”. Great patio and people watching and easy to order a pizza from Cadillac Pizza a short walk away and eat it with your wine on the patio. Fun spot, great people watching and good wine!

Jeffery R — Google review

We love our time spent at Landon's! They were very accommodating to us when we had almost 30 women show up! They have a great wine selection!

McKinney B — Google review

Did the mothers day brunch. It was excellent food at an excellent value. My only suggestion would be to offer coffee during brunch. I don't drink it, but I hard several comments about coffee. I LOVED the juice options for the mimosas!

Becky D — Google review

Just realised I don't have any pictures inside Landon, because we go there to sit outside! :)What could be better than to people watch when sipping wine on a nice weather day at beautiful Historic downtown McKinney all at the same time? Especially when there're tones of good wine to choose from.Best value winery at the square imo. Highly recommend. 🍷🍷

I really enjoyed the time I spent in downtown McKinney, the area is Rich with history an architecture. You could easily spend an entire weekend learning about the history shopping and the numerous mom and pop shops make for a very unique and authentic experience. Parking wasn't an issue, the people were very friendly and the culture was very diverse. If you looked up melting pot in the dictionary I'm almost certain that rabbit hole will lead you here. For $12 you and the misses can drop the kids off at the arcade and they can play all day so the two of you can go visit the awesome spa they have just around the corner.

Historic Downtown offers so much. Shopping at a variety of shops and boutiques, a wide variety of restaurants and wine bars - I didn’t have a bad meal at any of them, actually had great meals at each and every one, and coffee shops galore. I also enjoyed the City Museum and really cool farmers market. (visited it Saturday morning). And, wait for it, plenty of public and free parking. Enjoy! This a great place to spend a day or a weekend.

Downtown McKinney is a fun place to spend the day especially when there is a festival. Lots of restaurants, bars, shops, boutiques, and activities for all ages. Parking can be a challenge during busy times, but you can always park a couple of blocks away and walk.

I love this place so much. If you are looking for character and quirk this is your place. They host incredible events. The shops are nicely curated but expensive. There are reasonable places to eat and lots of fun things to do and see. You could hunt for fairy doors or try to see all of the murals or take an art class! This is a great place to visit.

I visited historic downtown McKinney a week ago, during the annual Oktoberfest celebration.Lots of food vendors, live music, great atmosphere and there was even a Voter Registration Station run by Battleground Texas, to allow citizens to register to vote conveniently.

Downtown McKinney is a charming, walkable destination with great restaurants, antique stores, comic shops, and more. The area has a small-town feel despite its growth. Harvest offers an excellent dining experience, and events like Oktoberfest showcase its community spirit. It's perfect for a day of exploration and enjoyment.

We used to live near historic downtown. McKinney would stop through all the time. So must visit if you are in the area, restrooms are secretly located in the basement of the old courthouse in the center of town. Make sure you walk around the entire race track of the Town square, many interesting shops and restaurants! Must see.To be sure to check the schedule for weekend fares and farmers markets. Santa in the winter, with snow slides, lots of rides and fun for kids in the summer.

I absolutely LOVE this place. This was my first time to visit the historic town and it did not disappoint!!! The shops were cute and filled with treasures. I went especially to visit the antique stores. I was not disappointed. The Antique Company Mall was amazing. I love how almost all the stores had antique wood flooring that creaked. Next time I go I want to try an eatery. There is lots of free 3 hour parking stalls that line the streets.

Chestnut Square Historic Village is a preserved village located in the McKinney TX area that consists of houses dating back from 1854 to 1930, a general store and offers events and tours. This historic museum allows visitors to step back in time as they explore the attraction which holds many historic buildings. Visitors can take advantage of various activities including docent tours, farmers market on Saturdays, trolley rides, holiday tour of homes or even hold their wedding or special event here.

I adore the McKinney Farmers Market at Chestnut Square. Lovely friendly vendors greet you with gorgeous fresh produce, unique products, beautiful crafts, and delicious food options. Chestnut square is the perfect historical backdrop & it creates a charming atmosphere... like stepping into a Hallmark movie. I love to watch the wide variety of dogs that folks bring along with them... from huge majestic ones to the tiniest fluffy little things. It's fun to see the children ride the ponies, get their faces painted, play corn hole or garden chess while I drink Elderberry Hibiscus Lemonade from White House Kitchen and nibble on treats from The Rosemary Bakery or Mix It Up. To experience the real feeling of the community in McKinney, I suggest that YOU head to the Farmers Market on Saturday mornings and stroll through the booths taking in all the sights, sounds & delicious smells... let's support local farmers and small businesses - bring the whole family!

Zoe T — Google review

Every Saturday there will be farmers market. Weather also good last Saturday, we bought some fresh veggies over here. A few stalls though. Place is nice.

Divya T — Google review

We love the Chestnut Square Farmers Market! It has so many great vendors. You can find local artists, bakers, produce and more! I love that they always have activities for kids. My son enjoyed the most recent Farm Day. There was a tractor for photos, activities set up to teach about farming and produce and a planting seeds table. They have clean restrooms right off the square and plenty of shade to help beat the heat this summer.

My sister and I had a great time at Holiday at the Square on Chestnut Square. We purchased admission in advance, which included a tour band for entry into the houses on Chestnut Square and tea time. Both purchases were well worth it! It was a really nice way to kick off the holiday season.Since this was our first time on the tour, my sister and I chose to walk, and underestimated how far each of the houses were fun each other. We didn't get to see everything the first day, and didn't make it back to see everything the next day either because the drive is far from where we live. Therefore I would recommend if you would like to see all of the houses in one day, that you drive. This also helps because as the day goes on the lines get longer to enter the houses.

Stefani G — Google review

Stopped by to soak in some history and was really impressed at how well this place is maintained. The website for the walking tour is well done and provided us about an hour's worth of strolling and learning about the buildings.

The monthly (weekly during the summer months) farmer's market is so much fun! There are all sorts of great products, from local produce to soaps to food and baked goods! Friendly folks and a super cute atmosphere!

Dondi M — Google review

Went to the farmers market on this day. Wish there was more offered. What was there was pretty good, but this would be a maybe I happen to be in the area and stop by visit. Not let's get up and make a planned trip to the farmers' market go! I really want to support local support in our community, but products were just not offered.

Laura M — Google review

I think it's cool to see old timing things that used to be there. I wish they didn't add/take some old things that used to be there away. There's like old timing soda cans in one of the houses so I'm pretty sure they added that. I have never been in the tour I just look from the outside into the houses, but it's still cool

Jessica C — Google review

I attended a wedding there and was left in awe over the historic Chapel, gardens, reception hall. The property is beautiful for weddings and events, a true hidden gem of Downtown Mckinney!

My wife and I recently visited McKinney's Farmer's Market and were thoroughly impressed by the selection and variety of vendors present. It felt like a true farmer's market, brimming with fresh vegetables, fruits, and beautiful flowers, all of which spoke to the market's authenticity and commitment to offering a wide range of local produce. Unfortunately, our visit was dampened by the rain, which prevented us from enjoying the market to its fullest. However, this minor setback has only fueled our excitement to return. We're already planning our next visit for the upcoming Saturday and intend to arrive early to make the most of it. McKinney's Farmer's Market truly is a gem worth exploring for anyone looking to experience the richness of local agriculture and artisanal goods.

Hidden gem that holds a special place in my heart. Prepare to be transported back in time to a world of historic buildings and the rich tapestry of life in 19th-century Texas. Each visit is like stepping into a living history book, where every corner holds a new discovery waiting to be made. From the rustic charm of the blacksmith shop to the cozy interiors of the homes, each structure seemed to whisper secrets of days gone by, sparking curiosity and fueling imagination. As I look back on those cherished childhood memories, I can't help but feel grateful for the role that Chestnut Square played in shaping my love for history and appreciation for the past. It's more than just a collection of old buildings - it's a living testament to rich cultural heritage and a place where the past comes alive in the most magical way possible.

Great place to hang out with family or friends. Even the kids can enjoy a little root beer action. Love the open air aspect when the weather is great. Brandon and Ruben have a passion for the beers they create. Looking forward to more from Hemisphere!

Great beer at a reasonable price. Great outdoor and indoor seating. Felt safe the entire time with them taking all of the proper precautions. Y'all should really check it out.

Collin B — Google review

LOVE IT, not just the craft beer, but the frozen drinks on offer to. I had one too many! I keep wanting to come back.- I hope they have the kitchen ready or have food trucks now.

B T — Google review

Had a quite a few of the Russian imperial beers. Favorite was the Winter Spice. Nice crisp flavor with the warmth of nutmeg and a hug in glass. Atmosphere was drab but friendly staff.

Shannon S — Google review

Excellent variety & quality of craft beer. Impressed with the number of choices. We did flights & all were good. Very friendly, excellent service. Enjoyed talking with the staff.

Tom D — Google review

Drove down from Denton to watch the NBA playoffs. Great beer and good food. Ambience was great. Owner is a cool dude. Was happy to speak to someone passionate about their craft.

Francisco N — Google review

Great ambiance, great service, great beer. We took 4 crowlers to go and will come back for more. Distinct flavors and uncanny beers with great taste. The owner, Ruben, was on site to serve us and answered questions!

Wineries & Vineyards

San Martino Winery & Vineyards is a charming little winery located in Lavon, just west of Rockwall. What sets it apart from other DFW wineries is the presence of an actual vineyard on the property, adding to its romantic appeal. The winery offers a selection of dry wines made from Texas grapes, all fermented and bottled on site.

Great winery. Found it about a year ago and go every couple of months now. Wine is great, and the owners/operators are super nice. Wines are affordable and club membership is very reasonable. They have special food events and live music during the good weather months as well. If you’re not a member, remember to call ahead and make a reservation for tastings.

IT IS NOT WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE ONLINE. It was my best friends birthday and she decided it would be nice to enjoy some wine at a nice winery. The lady in the front was not WELCOMING at all. As soon as she saw us she automatically judge us . Probably thought we were underage even after we showed valid ID. There is also no food unless you order it like 24 hr in advance which she never disclosed that over the phone when we booked it. So if you plan on eating a snack, good luck. The garden also didn’t seem very groomed and everything was dusty. Overall what really made this experience awful was just the rudeness of the lady working in the front. The only positive thing is there was a cute black cat .

Fatima S — Google review

Pretty cool local vineyard and winery, although there is room for improvement. They only offer a few wines by the glass, and the glass price is very expensive. It's definitely more cost effective to buy a bottle, but you can't taste it beforehand. These are all dry wines from Texas grapes, which is appreciated. Fermented and bottled on site. You have to make reservations if you want to do a tasting ($20), but members don't have to. I think they should make it so no reservations are needed. We loved all the wines we tasted. There is no food unless you order online 24hrs in advance, but you can bring your own food. The lady owner is pretty standoffish at first, but warms up after a while... Which is not great for customer interaction. They don't offer wine club members as many perks as other wineries do.

Diane B — Google review

My husband and I did a wine tasting of 3 reds. The grounds were very nice with just a little need for some TLC after winter. They are still requiring face masks as of today. There are several places to sit and enjoy your wine or you can also walk around the vineyard, just bring walking shoes. They do not serve food but you may bring your own. They do require you to wear a mask if you are at the bar but you can remove it when you step away.

April T — Google review

The price for a bottle was maybe 2.3x a glass. So get the bottle! We sat on the patio with our dogs and were even given a wine bottle filled with water for them.It was a great experience! If they had wifi I would be here way more often.

Sarah M — Google review

We had a great experience today. Made a reservation for outside online. Everyone that worked there was really nice. They have substantial outside seating spaced out for many people to hangout safely. They had pizza available to order on the premises and it was tasty. I would definitely come here again.

My husband and I found this gem 2 years ago, and let me say, we are so glad we did!The owners are super nice, we became members pretty quickly after enjoying the atmosphere, staff and delectable wine selection (zero downside to becoming a member).Great place to unwind and relax.I suggest signing up for their email so you’re in the know on events, tastings, live music, tours, etc.

J W — Google review

Visited the Winery with a group from Rotary on Saturday. Bought the Cabernet Sauvignon. Cooked Omaha Steaks on the Grill Monday and served it with the San Martino Cab...What a pairing. GREAT!!!

John M — Google review

Absolutely stunning location. We sat outside and the atmosphere was sublime. Unfortunately, myself and the rest of my group only enjoyed 1/6 of the wines tasted and the customer service was terrible. There were restrictions due to COVID so only one person could go to the bar, but never once even when the server came outside to give us extra glasses were we greeted, shared eye contact or given a farewell.

Kayla C — Google review

Loved the place, the host and the really fun friday regulars!! Will definitely visit again

Nikita D — Google review

I was given a bottle of your 2016 Cabernet Franc. It was delivered. In fact, I didn’t share it with anyone else. Selfish? Perhaps. However, the person who gave me the wine was such a special human. Her parents were special humans. And the way we came to know one another was truly unique, albeit, sad. I was the lucky one out of the bunch because it was an honor to know them. And to receive this bottle of wine by their daughter was a true gift.I had never had such a local wine and my expectations were low. My expectations were amiss and I’m grateful that I got to experience every last drop for myself. It was self care. Which is truly important.Gratias tibi valde, Jodie.

My fiance and I moved to Dallas and have spent 4 years trying to find our “spot”. We found it at the San Martino Winery. A beautiful oasis, San Martino makes you feel like like you are overlooking a vineyard in your own backyard. It’s a very simple family run winery that welcomes people of all cultures and diversity. We love being able to bring in our own food, sit where we please, and not be bothered by servers constantly trying to sell us something. Their wine is unique and extremely fair in price. Our dog Banjo loves it as well and whenever we decide to move away from Dallas, San Martino will be the one place we miss more than anything.

Shopping mall

Factory Outlets

Shopping-mall chain featuring a variety of brand-name & designer outlet stores.

Great place to get affordable name brand clothes. I like going to buy my dress clothes there. Like Haggar and Van Hausen. There’s spot to choose from no matter your gender or you age, you’ll find something you like here at a great price.

Mikey R — Google review

LC Container came here to visit the shops. We went to Nike crocs converse Rocky Mountain chocolate factory gap And Old Navy. It was a fun time getting school shopping out of the way and we enjoyed our time. We’ve been here multiple times and always enjoy coming out here to grab things we need. It is very convenient as it is not far from our house and there is plenty of options for shopping.

Eric L — Google review

There were some good stores here. Hmbut I wish there were more. It is a nice little outlet mall, but bit enough there foe me to drive all the way out there too often.

Tanya — Google review

Great place to shop for clothes and shoes. Also has a nice oddities and games store.

John M — Google review

Went to eat at mariachi. Parking plentiful. Prices not great but doable at some of the stores. Be better if there was something going on outside every 3 or 4 stores. Pretty boring to walk around.

Mel M — Google review

They have taken out most of the clothing shops it's just a few. It's kind of starting to look like Town East Mall with a lot of small businesses and unknown companies popping in there. I miss the days when they had rue21 and had a lot more clothing and shoe options for starting school with your kids. It being a discount place it made more sense to have the clothing stores to help with back to school. But thankfully Terrell does have the shops at Terrell by the buc-ee's and they have great shopping experiences with lots of food places and plenty of places to buy clothes or shoes.

Jacquelyn W — Google review

Went to Adidas and Skechers Shoe Stores. Both stores had a wide selection of shoes, but ultimately bought a pair of the step-in shoes from Sketchers.

Lyn R — Google review

Went to Mariachi's again. No noticable sewage odor this time, but I did find a gnat in my iced tea. Asked for a comp but didn't get it. Food and service were still good, but, of course, I haven't seen the kitchen!

Carolyn W — Google review

The individuals at the Nike store were amazing! I actually did not know I could wear a child's shoe. I saved over $150.00!!!I will definitely be back!!!

Tania A — Google review

WellMed is in there now it is very nice the stores around when you get through at the doctor's office you need to go shopping or you can go dying for some food there's a nice Mexican restaurant there just on your way out take it to the right and you'll see the Mexican restaurant the people there are very nice

Lynn D — Google review

Went to the nike store. Not a lot of great choices in my opinion. But overall a decent store

Tony R — Google review

Great place to shop! Lots of stores to choose from, the places I visited were clean!

Lorinda S — Google review

A good place to spend the day and do a little bit of shopping

Chris C — Google review

Just Don't care for this place mostly things for women. Prices are too high. The name is stupid, just because bureaucrats can't agree on a name.

David W — Google review

Our family loves this shopping center. It's got great stores and I've never seen it very busy or crowded. The kids love the little coin ride-on cars etc outside

Shannon B — Google review

Its never jam packed here and I love that the most! Don’t get me wrong the weekends do get busy but not that bad at all.

Lucia H — Google review

Very nice place! Went to Croc store and got a great deal! Staff super friendly and very helpful!

Mr. R — Google review

The shooting that occurred is not a regular thing and they do have a plethora of shops Nd businesses worth checking out

Kas H — Google review

Heavily shopped on the week of the Eclipse. Reebok, Maurices, Sketchers, nike...just to name a few. Bucees is right close as are a few restaurants.

Rainman C — Google review

Nice small outdoor outlet mall with some basic stores in Terrell right off of Interstate 20. Unfortunately some of the stores from years ago have closed. Still nice to go for a walk and do a little shopping 🛍.

No. 1 BFTS Museum Inc.

Museum

Specialty Museums

Great collection of British-American history from WWII.

John T — Google review

Such a great museum and piece of History well worth visiting and donating to. This location is accessible friendly and has multiple entrances along with staff to help. This location is not as easily visible from the airport but from the outside of the airport it is. Getting a lift from the FBO is possible if they have staff on hand and a golf cart. They maintain very nice bathrooms and they are very clean and well stocked. The facility overall is very clean and very well maintained. The museum is very quality and the items they have in the museum are very historically accurate and important to the history of the field. Overall it is a very great museum with a large part of history that needs to be maintained. The staff is super friendly and they are a big part of what makes this place special. They are nothing but helpful. I will definitely be back anytime I get a chance to come here.

Justin E — Google review

Visited the museum as a destination on a family history tour. My dad trained there in Course 9. A wonderful museum in a somewhat obscure location. The museum and its associated WWII era history is a must see for any military history buff, and or aviation enthusiast. We spent three hours with two curators. I donated a couple related items to their collection. A must see for descendants of WWII aviators; British - Canadian and American. 5 GOLD Stars!

Dennis D — Google review

A very interesting and well displayed collection of information and artifacts from a little known part of WW II. An amazing amount of material about the students and instructors of this school.

Scott D — Google review

I first visited a couple of years ago. It's really great, it's a nice place. Everyone there is really nice. It's a self-guided tour. You don't have to pay to get in. My mother and I actually became friends with one of the ladies that works there lol

Jessica H — Google review

Definitely a drive out of DFW but well worth it! The staff is super friendly and Rudy was very informative and welcoming! I just assumed it was “just another plane museum” but turned out to be so much more. Will return!

Jermaine B — Google review

Been wanting to go there for about 4 years and finally made it. Very impressed. The displays are well done and numerous. A surprising amount of information. Starts with a 10 minute video with actual footage from the wartime training base and and the history. Entry is free, they operate on donations and whatever you might purchase from the gift shop. I strongly recommend a visit.

Who knew? Before and during WWII, the Royal Air Force trained pilots all over the US. The very first school (hence the name) was right here in Terrell.Beautiful little museum. Obviously a lot of hard work has gone into maintaining this aspect of the "special relationship" between the UK and the US. Well done!

Dave L — Google review

This museum introduces the history of the pilot training school during World War II. Thank them for their hard work to protect this history. Every hero should be remembered.

Theme park

Scuba & Snorkeling

Diving in a 22-acre, spring-fed lake with a max depth of 63 feet, plus gear rental & a deli.

The Scuba Ranch is a great place to explore and train for area scuba divers. The owners go out of there way to support the local scuba community, dive organizations and shops. There is a training pool for instructors to rent for training, air fills, & gear rental. Camping is available onsite and well as RV spaces, shower spaces and spartan cabins made from recycled airplane fuselages, which makes for a unique experience. The owners maintain the property well and continue to add to the parks underwater items of interest that divers can explore. We are thankful for this resource for local dive communities. Go explore! You will have a great time! ~ Sea Shanty Scuba ~

Dana D — Google review

The SCUBA Ranch was a wonderful place for my daughter to get her open water dives done with Grapevine SCUBA for her certification. It was a beautifully maintained property and really, a little slice of heaven. The fresh air and the relaxing atmosphere were great! Visibility was a bit low the second day due to the weather, but my daughter still had a blast! Looking forward to a return trip.

Tina D — Google review

Alot of fun every time we go. Reasonable prices for access and rental equipment. Staff is great. Several underwater points of interest. If needed, several platforms to work from. Visibility was 5-10 ft at our last visit. Temp at 20 ft was 86 degrees. Thermocline was at 52 ft at the deep silos. If classes are held for training, the lake is big enough for several classes at the same time and not be in each other's way. Definitely a good scuba diving spot.

Lisa B — Google review

It was a very busy weekend at the Ranch, but so glad we went anyway. The area is meticulously maintained and they have pretty much anything you might need to rent if you forget something! Air fills are $10 each. (Bring your own, or they have tanks). It is a lake, so visibility isn’t fantastic, esp w a ton of divers in the water, but it is easy to navigate around because of the lines between submerged objects. Can’t wait to go back. Great place to work on skills!

Gayle C — Google review

Wonderful place to work on your scuba diving skills. Visibility is decent & lots to see.

Jim T — Google review

Came here to do my final check out for my open water license. Good facilities. Interesting stuff underwater to check out and guide ropes to help you find most of the things with instructions to learn navigation skills to others. Great place to learn and practice diving.

John O — Google review

We thoroughly enjoyed diving at Scuba Ranch. The facilities and surrounding areas were great and Danny and Elisa were incredible guides!

Zellika R — Google review

Visibility was about 5 feet. Other than that lots of fish and sunken underwater things to see. A flashlight is a good idea. Because this is Texas, it is about as good as it gets. Once in a while visibility can get 15’ to 20’. Water temp was 87 F.

Tom C — Google review

Came here for open water certification. It's calm and quiet. The first weekend in May the surface water temp was 74ish and visibility about 15 feet. The dogs that wander stay with the owners and are friendly. The restroom is clean with 2 outdoor showers and 1 indoor shower. $20 for divers and $10 for spectators EACH day. CASH ONLY.

Shanda B — Google review

Excellent place for scuba. Well maintained property and helpful staff. This place has transformed over the years into something remarkable. Some of my best memories are tied to this place!

James W — Google review

Had an amazing time at Scuba Ranch! The people running this place are top notch. Very friendly and they have put a ton of work into making this park beautiful. We will definitely be back.

Great Service, Quick Communications & Resolutions, Texas Family Business - Use the quarry for running through skills, new dive buddies, equipment shakeout dives and prepping for dives in the Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary aboard the Fling and dives in the Bahamas, Keys and US Virgin Islands aboard the Juliet.

Michelle C — Google review

Great place to learn to scuba dive! Looking forward to coming back with Texoma Scuba to learn some more skills in the near future.

Phil A — Google review

Nearly all of my diving experience has been in Southern California, so I wasn't sure what to expect on my first "lake dive." Murky water? A few boring brown fish if I was lucky? I was going to be grateful for anything better than 3ft of visibility, just so I could practice my skills comfortably enough after not diving in almost a year. But Scuba Ranch was a pleasant surprise!!! :D I could see basic outlines of the cool sunken stuff (boats, airplanes, etc) at about 20ft, and once I was closer, I could see plenty well to explore! The "lake" quality of the water added an eerie and fun vibe to the interesting variety of things they've sunken to explore. We took lots of video and I'm looking forward to editing it together soon to share. :) If I lived nearby, I'd definitely get a season pass.To top it all off, the owner and some fellow customers were incredibly kind and helpful and flexible with helping us through some minor things like checking over our gear that we hadn't used in a while and directing the mobile repair tech to our site when our ACs unexpectedly started to spaz. We had no trouble backing our 38' motorhome into one of their RV spots. For a fun, easy, inland dive spot, I can't recommend this place highly enough.

Lauren D — Google review

The Scuba Ranch was a wonderful place to complete my open water scuba certification. All the amenities you need for your scuba adventure are available and easily accessible. I plan on returning soon to continue diving.

Spencer N — Google review

Although the water level was low the 2 days I was there, and visibility was only a foot or two…It was a cool experience to dive here in the metroplex.I went to Scuba Ranch to complete my 2 open water dives for my certification. The weather was right around 80s and the water was cool. It made the experience even better.I’d love to go back when the visibility is better and see more of the structures under the water!

Andrew C — Google review

Great place for brushing up on skills. Everyone there was helpful and nice. The facilities are good but visibility wasn't as good as it was in the past.

Recently tried this place for the first time. I'm not a big wine drinker but I'm trying to learn more about it. The staff were very patient and knowledgeable and helped me pick something that I really enjoyed. The food and atmosphere were also great. I will definitely be back!

Adoralee R — Google review

I love the wine and the atmosphere at all 3 of the locations I've visited, but Greenville is my favorite because of the outdoor area they have, just beautiful. All of the other times I've been here have been stellar. Today was the exception. Wine and food were good again but could have used better service. No one ever came to check on me and see how I was doing, did I want any more, etc. I was planning on ordering another glass with dessert. Eventually, I went inside, but no one was around. Stood there for several minutes. This was today early afternoon. I will come back because you just can't beat half price bottle on Wednesday. However, I am hoping it was just a fluke and service is back to its stellar self. Would have been 5 🌟.

Denise M — Google review

Truly Loved this place. Came from Houston for a conference. The ambience was just what we needed. It was beautiful in the inside with beautiful people helping us. If I could give it 5 more stars I would..My favorite was the yellow rose and winarita. Also loved the pizza, charcuterie, and potato salad. Thank you so much for the hospitality.

If PAT is here, you're in luck. He (and this venue) are oozing with calm enthusiasm. The space is cozy and atmospheric, spacious yet focused. The wine and snacks are reasonably priced. The menu is well written with tantalizing descriptions, and Pat was beyond inviting. This place made for a wonderful day-date.

My wife and I visited this winery. We were just passing through and thought we would move on quickly but we didn't. We stayed and enjoyed the place very much. We will go back again sometime when we are in this area. The wines are very fine and the service is excellent.

I absolutely love this Winery. The owner is very accommodating & has provided a couple of tours for my out of town visitors. Jared is an Awesome Manager and keeps things lively & functioning smoothly. I just wish they had more food options. Food for thought.

Gloria B — Google review

I love your wine the experience I just had was awful. I walked In to sign up for wine club and this guy was on something. Made me fill out everything then I asked why I needed a username? I was signed up in Wylie and never had to do that. Then he wiped all my information and told me to do it again. Then I asked him, why don't you know how to do your job and walked out. So mad but I just can't with bad service.

Sandi S — Google review

Best winery ever! Patrick usually serves us and he’s always super kind and helpful. We’ve attended bingo at the winery a few times as well and always have a blast. 10/10 would recommend. Will be there again with my group next week👏

Nate helped us with a private party and we had nothing but good things to say! The service was great. The food and wine was delicious as well!

Jessica W — Google review

The way that the manager Jared talks about past employees (who were actually amazing at their job and us customers actually miss them) is absolutely trashy to say the least! I wish they would change managers as quick as they are willing to fire good hard working and reliable people!

5+++ stars for this winery!! PAT IS THE GREATEST BARTENDER EVER. 🫶🏻 Best service. Best wine. Best vibe. Period.

Jennifer R — Google review

A group of us descended upon Landons as soon as it opened and ended up staying a few hours enjoying our wine tastings and snacks. Kathy was very welcoming and always let us know what to expect next. My absolute favorites were the spinach artichoke chicken flatbread, the chocolate finale wine, and the raspberry wine. Everybody loved the peppadews, and the spinach artichoke dip.

This is a great winery in Greenville, Texas located in the heart of the city. It is one of the more upscale options available in the surrounding area with a great selection of wines for any palate. It has lots of great seating both inside and out for an enjoyable evening or afternoon gathering.

Great experience! The service was spot on! Nathan took excellent care of my wife and I. He was fun and friendly, very knowledgeable of the menu and wine list and most of all attentive. The restaurant is cozy, great for a couples night with ample room for larger parties. The food was very good and the wine was excellent! They recently add a couple of their own craft beers. I liked the bock. It was a little on the hoppy side but had a nice flavor. We will definitely be returning soon!

Audie Murphy/American Cotton Museum

Museum

Specialty Museums

This museum offers historic buildings, local history exhibits, military artifacts & a war memorial.

I didn't think I would enjoy this museum quite as much as I did. There is a lot to read. If you read every placard as I tend to, you can spend 2 hours here. There are three sections: Regional history, the cotton industry and 20th century wars, especially WWII and the incredible story of Audi Murphy. I really learned a lot.

Michael M — Google review

It's not all about WW2 Hero Audie Leon Murphy here, and that's fine; though Greenville, TX., was his childhood home, I expected better from folks who wish to honor the name and memory of an American Hero! First, the roadway and entryway to the museum and grounds are in a complete state of disrepair. That's bad! Second, while there is plenty to look at outside and green space, a large metal building like a giant red barn at its center will not suffice for me! And it shouldn't be for the family and descendants of Audie Murphy or any of the cotton farming families and histories of that era behind this museum and grounds. Clean it up! Renovate. Covid-19 is over! It's time to dig out from the aftermath. And move on with life.

David D — Google review

Lots of focus on local history and Audie Murphy's life story. Military sections immersive. Some small arms and heavy machine guns. Oddly, no MG 42. Seats and some audio and video features here.

Tee W — Google review

Audience Murphy is one of my favorite actors, who made western films and combat films. He was the MOST decorated war hero in WWII of anybody. He also wrote. 17 number one hit songs with many known singers singing them, including Charlie Pride and Cole Porter. The museum is really done up nicely. With exhibits of many of his war scenes. And letters to and from his family describing the horrible conditions of the war front, AND his family's contributions back in the states. There are exhibits of cotton and the cotton gin also . For the price, it is really worth your time. There is a 1906 Cadillac on display also.

Dale F — Google review

My husband is a military vet and wanted to visit this museum. This is a neat little museum!

Interesting and informative place to visit! This museum combines area history with a great exhibit about cotton production, and Audie Murphy's story including lots of military memorabilia. We just visited their main building, but there are also several others on the grounds as well as outdoor exhibits. Small gift shop and welcoming staff.

Becky W — Google review

I took my parents to this museum and they loved it. We are huge fans of Audie Murphys western movies. This place has a wonderful display of who he was as an actor and War Hero. It also has a display of other local heroes from the surrounding area of the museum. We learned so much.

What a great experience to visit the Audie Murphy, American cotton Museum in March 2024. The lady was very kind. She told me I want to find him where in the museum and walking through. It was a wonderful experience. I learned so much and about great Texans From Hunt county, famous Americans who did great things it’s always nice to learn more about fellow Texans. And the American Holler heroes is just an incredible site and I would highly encourage anyone interested in World War II or American military to make a trip out there and spend some time looking at the collection of military rifles and everything else military , of course this is Audie Murphy’s museum and his personal items there. He won’t see them anywhere else so make the trip and God bless Audie Murphy for what he did and we enjoy watching his movie still there’s that too. !

Watched the total eclipse here 4/8/24. Great location to do this. Enjoyed the history museum and memorial to a great American hero. Staff were all very kind and helpful. Great experience all around.

Great Spot to have a weekend visit, you get what you pay for and there's plenty to be seen!

This one scores high ranks on the list of small military museums. The highlight is the statue of Audie out front brandishing the captured MG-42.Inside are a couple full size dioramas and glass enclosed displays including Audies uniform and metal of honor. The gift shop is small but well stocked and $83 got a couple t shirts, artwork, coffee cups and fridge magnets.

This place was awesome! Would be best for older kids 8 and up in my opinion. Friendly staff, very informational, and well done!

Good musuem with a lot of interesting history of the county. Very thoughtfull mitary musuem with a good collection of Audie Murphy items and other military heros. Covers all major wars in US history with some personal connections.

This place is awesome. The story of Audie Murphy is one of the great American success stories. From extreme poverty to the heights of success. The most decorated man in world war two, movie star, author and song writer. Yet he never forgot his roots. This museum tells it all.

Moving R — Google review

Nice museum about local history, cotton, and World War 2 hero and movie star Audie Murphy.

Informative and helpful with insight to the local communities in and surrounding Greenvillle. Great way to spend a rainy afternoon. Adults are only $8!

Breanna — Google review

It looks like a small museum, but it is packed as full as possible. More Cotton and less Audie Murphy, but this is not the only Audie Murphy museum so they have to share. Gives you a good feel for the time line of our military history and the importance of cotton to America. The museum also covers the town of Greenville'S history including the Texas Giants.

Cynthia W — Google review

My son and I were practically the only visitors at the time, and we didn't feel rushed or crowded. As for the museum itself, it was surprisingly larger than I expected, and was very interesting. The Hall of Heroes experience was both sobering and informative, but even the other sections (cotton/Texas history) were interesting in their own right.Overall, I'm glad we made the drive up from Houston to see it.

David B — Google review

This is a gem of a museum. It's located on a nice property off the I-30 frontage road in Greenville TX. It's not a huge museum but the space is utilized very well so there is a lot in there. It contains a comprehensive Greenville history that includes everyone from the indigenous people to important citizens from all cultural groups. There is a comprehensive display representing the cotton industry. There are dioramas illustrating "Mainstreet" and war. These are very well done. There is a section dedicated to Audie, WWII, military history in general and local veterans. You can watch a short film about Audie.Outside are some buildings, two of which are originals and one replica. When staffed, you can go inside. At the entrance is a beautiful sculpture of Audie and a memorial to Veterans. There is a small giftshop with reasonable priced items and a nice selection of books, mostly history. You can purchase Audi's autobiography, To He'll and Back which I'm enjoying. (no Kindle version so buy it here instead of Amazon). I bought a sweet doll made from a quilt for just $10.Entry is $6 but separate pricing for Veterans (not sure what). Plenty of parking and wheelchair accessible. Plenty of places to sit and contemplate both inside and out.SHOUT OUT FOR HELP: There are two miniatures in the cotton exhibit that need work from someone with knowledge of miniature gears and pulleys. If you can help, please contact the museum. This is a great place to take school age children though the diorama with shooting may not be appropriate for all.The large map in the military exhibit is particularly educational as it provides a summation of the major WWII battles and a visual of the allegiances of the countries.

I have of course heard of Sam Rayburn though his time in office was well before my time of paying attention to politics. Today, his name is associated with the Rayburn House Office Building, the congressional office building in Washington DC.Rayburn served as the 43rd Speaker of the House of Representatives, the record holder for the longest tenure in that role - 17 years (over three separate stints). He was the Representative from Texas' 4th District from 1913 to 1961.The Rayburn House in Bonham is a collection of news articles, memorabilia and several videos that describe the life and times of Speaker Rayburn. His huge library is also accessible. It is self-directed and easy to tour. Expect it to take between 30 and 60 minutes.

The docents (we had two) were very knowledgeable and didn't try to rush us. The house is in good shape with lots of historical items. Interesting that they kept adding on to the house and that his sister was his hostess. We toured the house, car building, and saw the few outdoor animals.

Nancy M — Google review

It was excellent to learn the history behind the man. Touring the house was amazing. My 10 year old granddaughter loved it and wanted to live there. Honestly I did too.

Janet B — Google review

I love this old fashioned house that belong to Sam Rayburn. All of the furniture, and clothing inside are Sam's, or replicas of what he and his family would have owned and worn. There is still an active vegetable garden outside in the exact spot where Sam's garden was. Go say "Hi" to Tom the Turkey, and Stinky the mule.

Katrina M — Google review

Friendly knowledgeable staff. This is a great place to take a step back in history and see both rural living and congressional history.

Christine K — Google review

I was amazed at how modest the furnishings were for such a powerful political leader. Mr. Rayburn certainly did not use his position to accumulate wealth.

Jeff P — Google review

The house is very interesting. He did a lot for his family and constituents. They have a few barnyard animals that are entertaining. The library is the gem though. Go there first.

Visited their first ever night time event, A Very Rayburn Christmas. Lighting for the parking lot entrance is non existent making it a sketchy driveway to find in the dark. The staff and volunteers were very welcoming and informative. They had crafts and treats for visitors. The upstairs floor of the house was closed, which made the experience much shorter.

Nature & Parks

Park

Picturesque spot with a lake for swimming, fishing & canoeing, plus campsites & biking trails.

We stayed here in their small full service RV campground and thoroughly enjoyed nature at its quietest. Families were enjoying birthday picnics, swimming, kayaking and fishing. Several were also camping in their tents. We enjoyed the CCC architecture, and the trails. Hiking or biking, there's lots to do. The restrooms were clean and the water was hot. Boats and life jackets were available to rent.

Carol O — Google review

Such a great place to camp! We stayed two nights for our Anniversary. Staff is great and camp ground is beautiful. We were able to ride our bikes on the main road and hiked several trails. The hiking trails are very well marked. This was our second visit and we’ll definitely be back soon.

Walt M — Google review

Such a beautiful place. We randomly went on an hour drive and found this place. It's very nice and clean. Very family-friendly. There's RV camping and areas for tents. They have buildings with bathrooms and showers. Loved it!!

Barbara C — Google review

Nice sites of a little closely spaced. Very well kept by a fair number of rangers/staff. Hicking trails were maintained and fairly well marked. Just too bad my visit was during a burn ban.

Jimmy H — Google review

It's an hour drive to this park from the Richardson/Plano area. There are less than 15 campsites with electricity. But they are right by the lake area. Bathrooms are clean and with hot showers. It has a sand volleyball court and a basketball hoop. Kayaks rentals are available but a bit pricey. Hiking trails by the lake are closed due to recent storms but other trails are accessible. My family camps here twice a year and enjoys the quietness of this park.

Maggie I — Google review

Tents sites are really close together as well as the camper dump station is right across from the tent sites so you can smell the waste also the swimming area is small, but the staff made the experience fun and well worth it. We went for Father's day 3 adults and 4 kids and they let the kids build a bird house which was such an awesome idea and a great experience for me and my son. We had a blast. It was our first time at this park. But honestly I would go back and just get the one of the two tent sites away from the dump station lol. The learning experience with the park ranger made this park a big plus as well as the cleanliness and awesome attitude of the staff

Brandon M — Google review

We just wanted to get out of the house, do some hiking, have a picnic, and look for the 4 geocaches in this park that we hadn't previously found. A sign near the entrance stated that the hiking trails were closed, but when we enquired at the office, we were told they were open for hikers, but not for bikers, so off we went. We hiked quite a lot of the Bois D'Arc trail and part of the Gnarly Root trail, finding all 4 of the geocaches we looked for. We had a quiet lunch along the Bois D'Arc trail at one of the tables built by the CCC around 1934. This trail winds through the woods, connecting a number of the old CCC rock construction projects. Be sure and look for the beaver lodge not far from the lake shore.

Cecily C — Google review

The lake is so infested with hydrilla plants you have no way to kayak and fish without fighting them!Horrible, Horrible, horrible! Then the rv spots are about 7 or 10ft apart...with slide outs 5 fit apart.A park host reprimanded my husband for kayaking across the only part that wasn't infested with the hydrillas to get out of lake! (He looked like Costilo)We will not be back. So sad 😔

Debbie S — Google review

The park is beautiful. I first came here about a month ago to do some fishing, but had a problem with my boat. Disappointed, I bought a couple of their patches to put in my rig and went home. Later that day I realized I had left on my fishing gear. They held it for a week until I could pick it up the next saturday. Very nice!I Today I was finally able to return to do some fishing. On my way in the Ranger's golf cart was facing me on the one way bridge. I backed off to let him go by. He stopped before he passed me to give me some snarky comment about it being a one way bridge. I guess just in case he hadn't belittled me enoug, he also reminded me the speed limit was 15, and said I was going too fast.ill admit I might have been doing about 20. Then I got to the parking lot where I saw another ranger coming out of the headquarters. I should have known this was going to be an equally rude encounter when I saw that she was wearing a mask. She asked if I was just coming in for the day. I said I was. Then she told me they were at capacity. I responded I was just gonna put my boat on the lake and throw in a line. She repeated that they were at capacity and ask me why I passed the sign that said so at the entrance. Well that put me at my capacity. I told her that they were real friendly here, and said I would never return. I'm a country boy who spent many years working in the service industries. I feel like they probably spent many years working as tasters at the bitter beer factory. They need to learn better ways to deliver messages. I wish I had done this review after my first visit. You're only as good as your last encounter.

Erik E — Google review

Nice park. For a small older park it is a nice one.The bathroom facility was clean and well kept and the staff was very friendly. For the most part the trails that I walked on were well marked. Great park for a one or two day getaway.

SUM IT UP: not a lake ITS A SWAMP, entitled property manager, harassed the few hours I was here out of my 2 days booked, cannot swim, it stinks real bad, and unable to shower in A.M because they were trying to conserve water.Reserved two nights to campWhen we got here 4:30pm, we approached office asked if we could switch our reservation to another camp site to be closer to our other family member. They said it was fine.At 9:55pm we were out fishing across the lake.Husband was told the way he parked was not ok, park manager said “if I was in uniform right now I’d fine you a $500 ticket” (was a state park police/property manager)Very uncalled for, just entitlement and belittlement.Stated curfew time was 10, told my kids to use inside voices (across the lake, not 10pm yet nor was there anyone around)Again, uncalled for, we know the rules.Next morning 7am approached us, stated that camp site we were in was reserved for that night & the ppl had been here all morning waiting already. (we knew would be a possibility, we had planned on moving already) told him we were already packing. We moved our things by 9am.Again, 10:30am another person comes around, says we need to check in at the office. I’m like I’ve talked to this property manager multiple times already. Now their asking me to leave my kids, or drag em to the office, no.At which point entitled property manager approached us AGAIN, says he needs us in the office NOW.We paid for 2 nights, 1 person. OKAY.Take the credit off my second night that I won’t be staying due to the harassment! You know I’m loaded I’m not even using the camp site anymore. What more do you want. There are ppl camping all over, yet we are the only targeted ones.He says there are rules you must follow.YES THERE ARE, which should be addressed when they are broken.DO NOT APPROACH MY FAMILY AND TALK TO MY KIDS TELLING THEM TO USE INSIDE VOICES IF WE HAVEN’T BROKEN RULES & IT IS NOT 10 PM YET!

Very cozy, small park. Staff is super friendly & helpful. Fourteen spots for RVs, with 2 of them being full hook up. They're all pretty level, so that's good. Large covered pavilion for group gatherings. Swing set, volleyball, & basketball areas. Large grassy area for kids to play. Canoe & paddle boat rentals. Very nice headquarters. Didn't visit the bath house or the tent camping area so I can't really comment on that.

P T — Google review

Clean! Friendly staff and fun programs. Swim areas close to camping. Lake water clean with sandy bottom in swim area. Lots of shade trees in camping areas. Plenty of trails (no long ones).

Erica C — Google review

Small state park. My group hiked 80%-90% of the hiking trails available in less than 3 hours. The trails were marked, but easy to accidentally leave or take a wrong turn. We had to backtrack a lot and use gps maps as reference. That being said, it was a pleasant, easy hike, that would be good for most children.

After selling our home and buying an RV to become Gypsies for a while we figured Bonham State park would be the ideal place to get started. We have spent the last few days here as a trial run since we have 3 Grown boys/men that are local to help if we needed anything. We learned a lot about our fifth wheel and truck. We had to put the truck in the shop for brakes and it ended up being longer than a day. We were unable to get the same spot we were in and the park ranger on duty was more than helpful as he went above and beyond to help assist in finding someone that could move our fifthwheel for us. We had a few exchanges with Travis and he I have to say he made this whole learning experience worthwhile. This being our first time staying at a camp I hope we encounter more rangers like Travis along our journey. Thank you sir, you don't know how amazing your kindness has been.

Lacey B — Google review

We had a great time at Bonham SP, the coveted tables overlooking the lake made it easy for us to both watch the kiddos and eat a picnic in the shade. The only annoyance we had was the pesky bees and fly while we ate

Eric L — Google review

This park was beautiful. A hidden gem right outside of DFW. We live in McKinney and it took us 40 minutes to get there. There is a beautiful lake that we kayaked on. The rentals are done through a vending machine - bring a credit card! They have lots of public picnic tables under a patio and clean restrooms! The swing set and beach area was a huge hit with my 5 year old. Pets are allowed just not in the beach swimming area. Our dog loved swimming in the lake while we kayaked! The water is clean and refreshing. Highly recommend this park.

Northeast Texas Children's Museum

Children's museum

Museums

Non-profit organization

This the Children’s Museum has something for all ages. The value of admission is much better than many places throughout DFW, we spent the entire day here. There are multiple stations with different themes. The kids especially loved being able to dress up like a dentist and a grocery store worker. The grocery store had real shopping carts and stocked for the kids to have a real experience of shopping and buying stuff. The veterinarian office had a fun X-ray machine. The outdoor area is also so nice when weather permits. The museum allows for outside food to be brought in so we brought snacks and drinks for the kids. They also allow door dash, Uber or other local places to deliver food which is nice that you don’t have to leave for meals. They have at least 2 party rooms for private parties. We are thinking about an annual pass which is very affordable but we’ll definitely be back in the near future for sure! Thank you for the great experience 😄

Alexandra P — Google review

I discovered this place on a field trip with my son and it was so much fun I had to bring my other kids. There is so much to do you could spend all day! Next time I will pack my kids a lunch so they can play longer. My kids played independently for hours going from one area to the next. Definitely worth the drive!

Mandi B — Google review

Absolutely one of the best places to take a kid. We really enjoyed the new larger facility and the new outdoor space they have. You can also bring in a picnic lunch to have there.

Sheala B — Google review

Little kids will love running around playing here. Lots to do, not overly crowded, friendly staff. It's mainly focused on jobs, with play farms, spaceships, airplane, dentist, grocery, vet and several others. Great opportunity for imagination play!

Autumn K — Google review

Very cool little place. Nice to see something like this outside of DFW traffic. Small, but lots to do for younger kids. Mostly indoors, admission reasonably priced. About a 15 minute drive NE of Greenville.

Matt H — Google review

Not a fan. The staff is rude and disrespectful. They make sure to reiterate numerous times that you must already be loaded up and ready to leave when the allotted time is over. And for the money spent to have a party there, 1.5 hours just isn’t enough… especially for kids under 7 (which is their cut off limit for birthday parties… since apparently kids who turn 8 can’t enjoy the place. 🙄)Just don’t waste your time.

Jeia C — Google review

Great place to spend the afternoon on a hot day. Lots of fun activities. Excellent choice for kids ages 3 to 8 in my opinion. Our granddaughter loved the Veterinarian Clinic.

Leah C — Google review

Our 4 year old grand daughter had a great time visiting this museum. Lots of “make believe” activities. Includes a doctors office, veterinarian clinic, dentist, grocery store, home, bank and more.In a separate section they have a number of play areas that generally cover transportation, space, dinosaurs and some other random topics. There is also an outdoor section that looks more like a play area but we did not get out there, she had too much fun on the indoor exhibits.I suspect a teenager would be bored but pre teens would like the museum.

My 7 year old son absolutely loves this place. We have been twice now, and each time, we have stayed at least 3 hours. There is so much to do to keep the kiddos busy. My boyfriend and I play the big checkers or set up dominoes in a pattern. Other than that, there is not much for adults to do other than watch their kids play.

Great place good people, not crowded. The only gripe was the bubble soap water they use to create bubbles. It looked old, expired, and unattended..... Not sure why but I wouldn't let my child play with it.....No place can be perfect and for $7 dollars it's not entirely that bad, because all the positives way out the whole experience.

Rafael S — Google review

Great place to take your kids for a few hours for them yo run around and have fun and play different things. A few things to keep in mind there is no food to buy there. Also, most things are for children 2 to 10

We were gifted a membership for my son‘s birthday. We came on a Tuesday at opening and we’re one of the only few groups there. We were pleasantly surprised with all of the hands-on activities for the kids to do. We spent maybe two hours and didn’t even get halfway through it. This is definitely turned into visit multiple times a month.

This place is excellent for children of all ages! 0-2 is FREE, adults and kids 2 and up cost. Low cost. They have a yearly membership if you'd prefer. This place is better than a chuck e cheese. Amazing method to HONOR our fallen American Soldiers who were KIA and /or POWs in wars..... and especially those from this county. The war memorials were added to the plaza in 2012. The flame has never gone out but burns bright in honor of the veterans that never came home.Take the time to look up names on the computer screens provided. Note that they have not been updated since installation in 2012.

I love it here! They have bathrooms, a water pad, it's very well landscaped, and lots of shady spots to sit. They play music right off the square and there is an ice cream shop adjacent. Very nice place to relax!

I grew up here and things have drastically changed over the years. The downtown court house was breathtaking. I wish the pictures were better. Also the glass restrooms were different for sure. The walls in honor of those whom fought and served for our country. It brought goosebumps and shivers down my spine. 100 words can't express the feeling one gets. If ever you get a chance go explore the names and feel the spirit. Overwhelming

They had a little festival going on this weekend and had vendors selling all kinds of stuff. Easton had to buy a dragon from a guy that makes toys for kids on his 3D printer! He did a great job on the little dragon Easton bought. Very nice little square backed with a beautiful Courthouse in Sulphur Springs, Texas. They also have a public restroom on the square that is made of mirrored Glass! You can't see in, but when you walk in you can see everyone on the outside!!! Pretty weird feeling! 😂 I've heard of them, but this one was the first I've ever seen! Great little town square and the also had a band stand set up and bands playing for entertainment!!

Awesone Roman style architecture. Park is very peaceful.Statues of world wars & memorials are on display.

I'm on a mission to visit every single courthouse in The State of Texas by the time I'm 50. I can honestly say this is the one of the most beautiful courthouses I've visited in Texas, and I visited a lot so far. The architecture is gorgeous, and the grounds are well cared for. When I visited it happened to be when the eclipse hit, and the shadows being cast on the ground were amazing.

Beautiful architecture in the small town of Sulphur Springs. Besides it is a war memorial. The one-way glass toilet structures in the town square are probably more eye-catching. Experience for yourself doing your own business while others outside were 'watching'. Don't worry, nothing can be seen from outside.

Beautiful and historic location in Sulphur Springs. It was hard to picture people regularly working and conducting business here, and really fun to see, even though there wasn't any activity in the actual courts going on at the time. Free to enter, and definitely worth a look if you're passing through.

Brian C — Google review

The architecture is stunning! I’m not a resident and had no need to actually go inside or do anything but it was a beautiful building to see! The plaza surrounding it is also very nice and well taken care of!

Rowena M — Google review

Beautiful architecture around stunning town square. The celebration plaza is very lively to walk around and enjoy the views.

Sayak B — Google review

What a gorgeous building and a nice town. Loved the roads around the building.

Benji O — Google review

Awesome architecture, really peaceful and tranquil from the outside.

Walter B — Google review

Stunning architecture with very nice surrounding area and thriving downtown as well.

David B — Google review

Beautiful Courthouse from the 1800’s. Romanesque Revival architecture with red sandstone and pink granite. Just as beautiful on the inside! Open to the public, entrance is on the lower level.

This American version of the famous Paris landmark stands at 65 ft., topped by a cowboy hat.

It was a fun photo op. I can now tell my friends I've been to the Eiffel tower in Paris. What was far more impressive is what sits next to it. The Red River Valley Veterans Memorial. It was an excellent experience in history and personal memories.

This was a fun stop after a long drive day. The kids got a kick out of it, and we got there at sunset which was beautiful! The Veteran's Memorial next to it was beautiful! Very well put together, loved at the artillery there! Free to enter both but donations welcome at the Memorial.

Adventures T — Google review

Free attraction next to a Veteran's Memorial (also free), and the tower is the iconic symbol of Paris, TX. So if you are going to visit, it's definitely worth a stop and photo op. Kept very clean. Lots of parking (also free). Not a lot of trees, so maybe avoid during the heat of summer mid-day thru mid-afternoon when it is most hot.

Jen G — Google review

Super quirky but cool stop. Love how the city of Paris incorporated this into their town. The cowboy hat on the top has a feather in it if you back away a little you can see it. The veterans memorial next to the Eiffel Tower is an added bonus. Very well laid out. We had a great time visiting your town!

Two big thumbs up for the city of Paris, Texas. We ended up here for the solar eclipse since the weather forecast seemed to favor Paris over places further south. We drove in at the last minute, without having done much research on this location and were so impressed by the preparation and kindness of the people in Paris. There was plenty of parking around the Eiffel tower/community center area with local police and sheriffs directing traffic. The city had set up a large number of portable toilets and booths selling food and commemorative shirts. Every visitor was invited to mark on a map where they came from and was warmly welcomed. There was an information booth for answering questions. In another location downtown big boards had been set up that were painted with the place, date and time in totality perfect for pictures. Bonus points for playing "Total eclipse of the heart" and "here comes the sun" when the sun broke through the clouds and the eclipse became visible. The weather in Paris came through and we had the perfect viewing conditions for all of the 4 minutes of totality and most of partiality. After the event, we experienced no traffic jams leaving town. The Eiffel tower was a cute roadside attraction, the cowboy hat was a nice touch. I can now say that I visited both Paris, France and Paris, Texas in the same year.

The Eiffel tower is ok. Not great. The veteran's memorial next to the Eiffel tower is fabulous. The etched black granite war memorials are spectacular. We also really liked the war dogs memorial sculpture. There are many paving stones in memory/honor of veterans. This is one of the most beautiful veteran's memorials we have ever seen.

M H — Google review

We had a nice time here. The veterans memorial is outstanding

Julie B — Google review

Total random but cool place to stop real quick, the cowboy hat on the tower is hilarious and such a Texas thing to do hahaStop here if you can, it's not too far off the highway

Kyle L — Google review

Beautiful memorial for our lost ones. As well as, some my husband personally knows. One addition I feel needs added.... Please, add a sign that selfies with the memorial pieces is so disrespectful. My husband was in gritts over the vanity for something to remember those he lost for.People need to do better.

One of the great unique and quirky Texas tourist stops. The cowboy hat covered Eiffel Tower relics is a fun photo op. It’s free and open 24 hours. Lit up at night. We didn’t look for restrooms, but they may be available in the Civic Center. Plenty of parking and handicapped accessible

David ( — Google review

It’s a small place, don’t plan to visit this place alone as you don’t have much to explore beyond than 10 -15 minutes. So club few things together. It’s a veteran monument with a miniature Eiffel tower (max 50-60 feet tall). My kid was saying it looks like a high voltage grid tower 😀. I completely agreed with her as the power grid tower is way bigger/taller than this bonsai Eiffel tower. We had lots of expectations and travelled almost 100+ miles to see but it wasn’t worth spending 3 hours driving. It’s free entry no tickets required.

Soumya P — Google review

Neat stop. I had visited the eiffel tower here about 15ish years ago, and it was qwirky, so I stopped by with my wife. The veteran's memorial was really impressive. I'm glad we stopped.

Michael M — Google review

The Texas tower was a fun photo op, but the War Memorial next to it was well worth the drive. Take some time to stroll the grounds of this memorial honoring our service members.

James S — Google review

The tower is smaller than you may think. However, the Veterans Memorial next to it is one of the best in the nation. Thank you to all who have served this nation.

Paul S — Google review

Probably as close as I'll come to the Eeifel Tower. It was beautiful to see, especially the Texas way, with a cowboy hat. The veterans memorial was definitely a plus, such a somber but beautiful memorial. A must see if you're in the area

LeTTy W — Google review

History of veterans who have, who are, and will serve. My only grandson has enlisted, with the thought process being embedded inside his soul @ the age of 5yrs old. I'll keep praying not only for him, but all others👀🕊️🤗🤟💯

If you’re driving near Paris you should stop by this park. The Eiffel Tower is shorter than expected and still interesting. The Cowboy hat on top is a nice touch!Next door is the Red River Veterans Memorial. This memorial is well thought out. Definitely something everyone should visit. One family’s quote on their monument hit home with me. It says “FREEDOM ISN’T GUARANTEED… IT IS EARNED ONE GENERATION AT A TIME!!!

Lynn — Google review

Cool place to stop and get a pick. The veterans memorial next to it is really nice too

Garick N — Google review

Not a mind blowing attraction, but it's right next to a nice veterans memorial. There is also plenty of parking, and event center, covered basketball courts and air conditioned bathrooms. A cool place to stop and stretch your legs if your passing through or a nice open place to get some excessive if you're close by. Definitely worth checking out if you're interested.

Chad H — Google review

Such a charming place! Don’t expect something enormous and grand; it's just a lovely little monument situated beside a beautiful memorial park. Definitely worth a visit if you're nearby.

Anjali K — Google review

Such a beautiful trail and monument weAlso went next door to the memorial I highly recommend it is beautifully kept

Laylonna H — Google review

Very cool stop if passing thru. Not only the Eiffel Tower is neat, but the Veterans Memorial right here… phenomenal. Take a moment to step outside your life, and into the remembrance of ALL WHO SERVED to give you the life you have.

Meg E — Google review

Me and my family had so much fun visiting here (the big building was closed) but it shows a lot of stuff I enjoyed the time and the photos

Torrie W — Google review

When you want to get out of town and go somewhere exotic, come check it out. You'll be able to tell people you visited Paris and they'll be impressed, come check it out. If you are driving by, its great excuse to stretch your legs. Also, the memorial right next door is a pleasant bonus.

This is an amazing tribute to all the soldiers. If you are passing thru Paris make the time to go and experience this beautiful memorial.

Finishing up a long road trip and having seen Veteran's Memorials both good and bad. This one ranks as one of the best I have seen across the country. It covers quite a bit of our history and service members and the only one I've seen that recognized Gold Families.Well done, with nice displays and a lot of plaques and memorials. The memorial outside sums it up best: "May it remind us that our country must always be defended against forces that would deny us our freedom."

Jeff S — Google review

A very nice memorial. It is a work in progress. The sections that are completed are very well done. There is a lot of room to expand the memorial.

Paul U — Google review

We went to see the Eiffle Towel and did not know about this memorial. I love to visit war memorials and pay my respects. My grandfather, uncles, cousins, all served. This memorial is one of the best I've seen.

Richard G — Google review

What a wonderful tribute to the veterans of the United States of America. Unfortunately it was overshadowed by the rash of advertising of everyone that gave money instead of their lives.

Carl S — Google review

This was a very neat place to visit. I highly recommend it.

Staci W — Google review

They're still working to build this place but what they have so far is really nice.

Dani D — Google review

One of the most descriptive and a must see memorial park I have ever been to. Located right by the Eiffel Tower of Paris, Texas; you can see so many history written along with all the descriptions. You can also see the modes of transport used back in war. A must visit place for everyone if you are nearby!

Anjali K — Google review

I have encountered countless veterans memorials and veterans parks. Some of them are dismal, showing a lack of effort and respect. Some are awesome and fabulous and show that the local citizens truly care and support their veterans. The Red River Valley Veterans Memorial in Paris is clearly in the latter group. This is a great tribute with incredible curb appeal and the inside lists the conflicts and losses along the way. The "Ring of Honor" is fabulous and very well done. The helicopter and other equipment is wonderful. You can't miss it next to the Eiffel Tower. Stop over here and check it out.

Bruce K — Google review

The best veteran’s memorial we have been to! Very nicely done and built to last.

Melissa G — Google review

Very nice history land mark to visit! Enjoyed being able to learn a bit more on our history. Worth a stop.

EPAS — Google review

This is the most well established memorial I have seen. The gates are almost like walking into hero heaven. The information is vast and there are so many names on bricks and stone, it makes you appreciate all the brave heroes that fought for this country. It looks like it is still growing, maybe another display to be in the back. It was a great way to spend a pre-Independence Day.

Jana M — Google review

Great place paying respects for the people who defended the country!

Sean G — Google review

Very well done!! Town of Paris and all of those involved, thank you for such a great memorial to all of those people who have fought for our freedom. This is such a beautiful place! A lot of time and effort has clearly been put into this! Absolutely gorgeous! Thank you

A well done tribute to the veterans of the area. Worth a stop if your love our military and want to reflect and remember those who served in our armed forces.

Small memorial to our veterans. There’s a few old military vehicles like a APC and a helicopter

Definitely improved since new owner or manager. Parking lot repaired, lots of new stores, good variety of merchants. A nice restaurant would be great.

RedRiver P — Google review

Update: Now a true five-star strip mall. New stores such as Ross, T. J. Maxx and Big Lots have breathed new life into a once dying shopping center.

Found some nice things. Love Bath and body works. Belt is nice to have in town. TJ Maxx was new for me. Found the perfect purse and wallet. And didn't break the bank. Need to go into Big Lots, but that's another day.

Debra R — Google review

Wheelchair accessible and a nice variety of shoppes. Some shoppes are really wheelchair accessible while others are a bit challenging to get into or inside is compact and hard to navigate. Definitely a resourceful place.

Harley D — Google review

TJ Maxx is my favorite store, but Ross also has some amazing deals! We always shop for groceries at Aldi. Lots of parking and nice selection of stores.

Lindsey G — Google review

This is a small town shopping experience with some zest. There's a stop) store for almost anything you'd want. Paris is proud of this complex.

Lots of options for shopping as well as food and there's even a cheese on a stick stand in the parking lot that is great.

My favorite shopping center in Paris, TX. Formerly Mirabeau Square. New stores include Ulta and Ross Dress for Less that I have yet to visit, but look forward to doing so!

Tomarra N — Google review

The shopping center is easy to get on and off and has plenty of stores for any of your shopping needs. The stores range from Cato, TJ Maxx, Belk, GNC, Aldi, hobby lobby, and many more. There are plenty of parking spaces in the area is very well lit at night for those concerned about security.

Matthew N — Google review

Decent shopping. Homeless on benches and people trying to approach you to buy bread. Kinda makes you uneasy. Especially if you were older.

Amy D — Google review

You can find just about anything at Paris Town Center. I have to see my dialysis nurse every week and so I stop by to one store or the other. I love Hobby Lobby.

Brigitte C — Google review

Good place to pick up some groceries, shoes or that Birthday or anniversary gift that special piece of jewelry you know she's always diamonds.

I wish we had more stores that include clothing that is trendy for my teen granddaughter. There is just not enough choices for her.

Paris Towne center has grown in the 2 years that I've been here. It has gone from a nearly deserted business center to a thriving one. With the addition of Ross and TJ Maxx, people are really keeping these businesses here.
